What is your point? That you have managed a whole 19 yards in one more game?

would you give it up dumbass....

Jackass when the point is you have a better rushing attack.....the only thing that can be drawn from that post. You might want to factor in the one more game and look at the average. I could be wrong, but 131 > 115.

You need to give it up. Crack? Or senseless posts on a MB.

Considering we started:

2.5 games with a backup LG, two rookies at LT and C and Clement & Moore; plus a couple games with Blaylock/Barlow getting all the carries...

the difference should be far greater with NE's superior OL, more experienced OC, far better defense, and Dillon/Maroney, plus Brady to keep the defenses more honest than us with Chad.

or maybe...you can go over to a Pats board and discuss YOUR great running attack with some Pats fans if you don't approve of what's being posted on a JETS SITE

You had me until you said that. Doesn't Schott have more then 1 year OC experience?

Those are good points. The Jets running game has exceeded expectations, but look at who you have run against: 13 (Phins), 17th (Lions), 12th (Jax), 31st (Colts), 19th (Bills), 6th (Pats) and 32nd (Titans)

This is similar to BZ saying the Phins are a top D last week. Plus, your average is a little inflated after trampling the Lions for 221 last week.

Get it straight. For starters, there isn't a single player on the Patriots roster that is above average. Second, Chad is better than Brady. There are no excuses. :)

Then I indeed have you. Schott was a QB coach until this year.

The important thing in my mind is that we are improving in running the ball the last couple of weeks-the offensive line is doing a better job

people said I was crazy when I pointed out during the Jax game thread that the Jets were working on the run scheme blocking-but after reading a couple of articles from yesterday it seems that's exactly what they were doing. What a concept...take a brutal loss and make something good out of it-WHILE THE GAME IS STILL GOING.Bet ya Herm never thought of that kind of stuff

How many of those rushing yards came in garbage time against the Jags?

I'm more concerned about the 3.6 per carry. If I were a Pats fan I wouldn't be too happy with 3.9 ypc. Then again, if I were a Pats fan I wouldn't be too happy.

1

That is the amount of times the Patriots have averaged 4.0 or over since 1985.

Plus, 3.9 is inflated. Brady ripped off like a 22 yard run against the Bengals. ;-) I am fine with 3.9.

I would be more concerend if they were coming up short on 3rd and 1, 2 and 3s.

Yeah, but you only had Corey Dillon two years and he was hurt most of '05.

Yeah, but we had Curtis Martin for 3 seasons and Robert Edwards for another. They also played for decent teams. You would think the law of averages would catch up sometime. 1 in 21 years? 1. :-s
