4HCrew
Tiki supposedly a lock for the HOF? Hell Ricky Watters has better career numbers and we know he is not a HOF back. This point was brought up to me and I think very valid.
faba
Who is saying he is lock for the Hall Of Fame? He is moving up in career numbers on the list though.

This point was brought up to me and I think very valid. Who said he was a lock? Whoever said that is an idiot IMO. He definately hasn't put up enough good seasons to even be considered. Speaking of which, does anyone else find his timing kind of odd when he decided to announce he was retiring? It almost seemed to me like he was ready to hang it up but wanted to get some sympathy votes for his first MVP award.
jets22
they were talking about that on the game the other nite, made a few valid points, said he would need ablout 3 more years with similar numbers to his last few to be HOF back, I agree

However, a RB that had a lack luster 3 seasons to beging his career and become a full time back until his 6th year is hardly Hall worthy. 2 good seasons should not a HofF career make. One of the best in the league imo. Good points JW. He has been one of the best for the last 2-3 seasons. However before that he fumbled too much and could not take the job from Ron Dyane for 3 seasons. He is a class act and serves the Giants and NFL well unlike players like TO. IF he indeed hangs them up; I do not think he deserves the Hall.

It just took awhile for coaches to figure it out moreso than tikki underachieving.with tikki, the giants are much harder to hate unless your name is faba. Biggs
Tiki was wasted early in his career because the Giants were dumb as stumps. As soon as he got a coach who worked with him he has been not just good he has been the best all around back in the NFL the last 3 years and the numbers back it up. The Giants up until the middle of last year had a crappy OL and a succession of crappy QB's and he still put up numbers. The guy has over 14,000 yards running and recieving including a 4.7 YPC average on almost 10,000 yards and an 8.9 YPC average on almost 5,000 recieving yards. Compared to Martin who averaged 4.0 YPC on 14,000 yards and 6.9 YPC on just less than 4,000 yards.
lawngnome o-line
If Tiki was playing in Tennessee or in Seattle Tiki would be nothing at all, but because he has a pro bowl twin brother which is used for promotion as well as working in New York he gets much more exposure/support than perhaps he deserves. SoFlaJets
Mike and Mike were talking about that yesterday and they said IF he had been putting up these numbers before 2002 and IF he wasn't retiring then yes-as of now he'll be on the outside looking in.I totally agree with this assessment
JetCane
Speaking of which, does anyone else find his timing kind of odd when he decided to announce he was retiring? Yes, very strange timing. And he has spent the better part of the last week giving interviews to local TV guys, doing the self-promotion thing

Turned him into a slow 3rd-down back for a few years. What was Barber supposed to do - say no?

uart
with tikki, the giants are much harder to hate unless your name is faba. Untrue. You see, Shockey and Tiki cancel each other out. Now you can hate the Giants for the other a**holes on the team.

You can make a valid argument that for teh past 3 seasons, he has been the top overall back in the NFL. But 3 seasons out of his entire career do not make him HOF material. In fact, unless he has 2-3 more like the past few, I do not think he even gets on the final list for the voters to choose from.
gang_green03
He shouldn't even be in the discussion until he does this for at least 3 more years. Like people said he fumbled way to much and was average maybe above average before Coughlin changed that. If he retires like he says he's going to than its not even close.
