haggis
Thoughts from Guns and Mav? St Louis desereved it. They came together at the right time and did not make mistakes. Sorry guys, I was pulling for you.
shawn306
Tip your hat to the Cards. Especially pitching coach Dave Duncan. The job he did with Weaver was nothing short of phenominal. This guy was designated for Assignment by the Angels to make room for his brother. Betcha the Angels are wishing they had him back now. I really think the week off the Tigers had hurt them more than it helped them. That's baseball though The Tigers though have nothing to be ashamed of. They had an incredible year and an incredible run through the post season. If Leyland isn't the AL manager of the year their should be an invesitgation. . Jet/BosoxFan
Take it from me, beating/embarrassing the Yankees in the playoffs > a World Series win. The Tigers season is officially a success. A W/S win woulda been gravy.

Mavrik
Can't say that I'm not a little disappointed. Getting this far and then losing when you are so close to the championship, it's a new experience for me. They made a lot of mistakes, some from being a young team and some from just making complete idiot moves. Cards capitalized and I wouldn't do anything to cheapen their championship. They deserved it and if there are any Cards fans here I would say congrats to your team. But I'm still proud as hell of my boys though. A lot of teams pull the "we weren't supposed to be here" schtick every year, but I think the Tigers were one of the few teams who actually for all purposes weren't supposed to be there. To go from 71 wins last year to a WS berth is nothing short of remarkable. They've got the taste in their mouths, and they'll come back next year stronger and hungrier than before. The Gun Of Bavaria
Tigers choked in the WS, plain and simple. Hats off to the Cards, they looked like the Tigers pre-WS. Tigers looked like they had no buisness being there and embarrased the A.L. Great season, great run, but choke job galore in the WS.
