Jetlag
I don't know if it's a good thing or not. I love this team and have for many years so maybe that's why this is happening, I'm not sure. Anyway my "problem" is that I've become numb to Jets losses. I've become numb to the Jets getting f*cked three ways to Tuesday on bullsh*t calls and ridiculous plays. This is kind of depressing because it's as if I've gotten too used to the Jets being the "same old Jets". I haven't broken anything over a Jets loss since the Doug Brien game. Does anyone else feel like this?
KSJets
I just learned to not get too high after a win, but not get too down after a loss either. Too many people get too worked up IMO.
LionelRichie
what happened this year is that you got caught up in the hype. the jets are rebuilding from the ground up and this is year 1 of a process. it sucks to have to wait 3 years to see a contender but at least the team is going in the right direction. Does anyone else feel like this? Yeah I dont get as mad as I used too. I guess a 4-12 team and no expectations for 2006 will do that to you, not to mention fully knowing that Chad Pennington isnt the future, I just sit back and watch the game more than I used to. I agree. If you asked most here before the season if they expected to be 4-4 at the bye, most would say no. This team just doesn't have all of the necessary horses. I was expecting a 6-10 season. I was expecting a blowout or two (I still think there's at least another really, really, REALLY bad game coming for us in the 2nd half of the season). There are just too many question marks with this team right now to expect playoffs. If they get in, great. If they win it all, great. I just really doubt it, and I'm not going to freak out of they don't.

NJ
Does anyone else feel like this? I know how you feel Lag but I feel that way about the Cubs instead of the Jets. We've got everything looking up for Gang Green unless Woody gets totally impatient and jetisons the Tangini scenario and I really don't see that happening. Mangini is obviously young and inexperienced from a HC standpoint and prone to tactical errors and some pipe dreaming (I hope it's 2 years before I see the next fooling nobody Brad Smith draw play) but I don't believe we will see the same $hit week after week after week. We only had so many draft picks and he was handed a pretty full bucket of dung to start with so my moneys' on the current management to turn this around relatively soon. If Chad has too many more games like yesterday and Jacksonville - they'll make some changes. My only short term fear is sticking in this 3-4 without the bodies to execute it. If you can't stop the run, you're not a play-off team in the NFL. Or the CFL, Arena League or NCAA for that matter.

4HCrew
I just try to keep things realistic....any team that cannot stop the run will hav a problem beating any team. As much as everyone wants the Jets to be good this year, they are just not a good team. Too many warts and too many changes that are taking place. Does it suck yes. Do I still get pissed, of course, but not suprised.

We need another good draft and key signings to keep improving.

I'm really hoping houston comes out strong after the byweek & he & leon give us a nice versatile running game but I don't know what to hope from our defense
