PFSIKH
Their managers are stupid. How Jeter wins the gold glove over Gonzalez is a mystery. Jeters sucks. Which is my second reason why he won.

Sharrow
The same thing will happen in the NL when Freddy Sanchez doesn't win it for 3B.

JerryK
I don't know that the "league" lost the WS...the Tigers did. And I think they lost the WS for 2 reasons: -young pitchers, great at pitching, crappy at FIELDING. -not enough WS caliber bats. a couple real hitters could have offest the above problems. The Gun Of Bavaria
The Tigers lost the W.S. as representatives of the A.L. because their bats got ice cold, their defense went to hell and the Cards had a good game plan for hitting their pitching. Scott Dierking
Gold Gloves are a popularity contest and won off reputation more than results.
Smizzy
What should the formula be for a Golden Glove? You can consider fielding % but how do you figure in range and hustle? Do spectacular plays get more attention? Errors? I have to admit I don't know what they go by to give these GG out but I would hope they took everything into account. The guy made some absolute SICK SICK defensive plays at 3B this year, yes way more then A-Rod guys, but he also had a lot of errors too. How does tha factor in? The guy practically had his own Inge Gems on Baseball Tonight but also was near the top in errors. Do the sick plays that he successfully made outweigh an error? Who knows
