They did but they were still treated like crap by mumbles and the patsy front office

Would you please cite a few specific examples (this is a trend with you) to support your arguement that the Pats coaches were "treated like crap".

All you are doing is making "crap" up without any examples.

Broken record.

He was 31 and based on his bust of a season last year he was paid for "past performance".

Signed a five-year contract extension worth $25 million on 04/11/2005. He is guaranteed $10 million in the first two years of his deal. The Patriots have an option for the 2007 season. Dillon is due base salaries of, for 2006: $3,000,000, 2007: $2,500,000, 2008: $2,500,000, 2009: $2,500,000.

Are you really that stupid?

Do you really think Dillion will see any of that money 2007 and beyond?

$10 mil for last season and this year?

Not a bad investment.

The Pats can cut ties with Dillon after this year and owe him nothing, and more importantly, nothing against the cap.

What's CuMar's 2009 cap hit going to look like?:yahoo:

Look at the title of thise thread idiot. there is NO 2009 cap hit.

the Jets will save his base salary in 2007 ($3.25 million), 2008 ($4 million) and 2009 ($4.7 million) because base salaries aren't guaranteed and only be charged for the $2.8 million remaining on his pro-rated signing bonus. That charge will come in 2007.

Correct and Dillon has a 07 hit of 2mill if the Pats don't pick up his option.

Basically 12mill for past performance.

I thought you said you have me on ignore?

You think a measly $2MM hit is significant?

How many Super Bowls did the Jets win paying an over-the-hill RB that kind of money?

Who made out better?

The Pats paying Dillon $12MM and winning the Super Bowl, or the Jets paying Cumar 5 times that amount and not even appearing in a Super Bowl?

Hey, when you have 7 million in available funds to throw around, what is 2 million.

BTW Dillon's 2004 performance was well worth it. Watching him run over the Colts in the snow was well wirth it.

The jets are gonna have 12+ million of cap room this offseason and more then that next offseason.

Will he combine to throw for 600 yards in those 5 starts?

Nitpicker. He is 1 yard short.

In his defense, I saw some of his game this past weekend and on about 4 ocassions his wideouts dropped the ball on him.

He did not look bad. He seemed to have a little more passing prescence then Vick.
