Preston Howley III
The Steelers are living proof that teams lie down and die. They got their rings, their bonuses, their extended contracts, and now they are coasting. It would have been nice if the Jets could have at least won a ring, first. PatsFanTX
The Steelers are living proof that teams lie down and die. They got their rings, their bonuses, their extended contracts, and now they are coasting. Well, the Pats won a Super Bowl and then followed that up with 2 more in the next 3 years. Not all teams are the same.
Blackout
Well, the Pats won a Super Bowl and then followed that up with 2 more in the next 3 years. Not all teams are the same. but those pats have since lost alot of players (their entire WR core besides Grandpa Brown) due to the same greedyness of Randel El (among others)
Barton
Steelers arent lying down. Big Ben just sucks like everybody knew he did. He was a stronger armed version of Trent Dilfer. Maybe he turns it around, and has a solid career, but he's not a very good QB, probably never will be. Cowher is retiring after this season, book it. 124
Ah I love being right about Mr. Suckslisberger. 28-17, Denver with 11 minutes to go. Good luck Ben..throw another pick.
Blackout
Hines Ward is no Marvin Harrison or Tory Holt, they would've broke for the TD for sure

PatsFanTX
but those pats have since lost alot of players (their entire WR core besides Grandpa Brown) due to the same greedyness of Randel El (among others) And those "Pats" still are one of the top 3 teams in the NFL. What is your point?

Jetheelz
And those "Pats" still are one of the top 3 teams in the NFL. That's very true TX. In fact I picked them to win tonight in my football pool.
Preston Howley III
Didn't Roethlisburger almost die in a motorcycle crash, 6 months ago? Damn, cut the guy a break.
raffyD
And those "Pats" still are one of the top 3 teams in the NFL. What is your point? I think his point might be (and correct me if I'm wrong) is that in today's nfl, no matter how hard we try and believe otherwise, it is a freaking business first and guys like JAbe, Randal El, Branch are in it for one thing and it ain't the ring. I'll give you a hint as to what they care about, ryhmes with loin. I guess that's why so many of us pull for Chad, deep down he is a throwback type of nfl player who actually cares about his team/fans and winning and we recognize that in the few players that still behave this way. Btw, before you go all retarded on me and start talking about noodle this and that I will say this: Brady seems to be in the same class as Chad in that regard.* * Yes, that hurt to type. Blackout
And those "Pats" still are one of the top 3 teams in the NFL. What is your point? you're a homer, but I personally don't think the Patriots are going to win the superbowl this year, I don't even see them being a lock to reach the AFC championship the Patriots can do all they want in the regular season, but until they get back to the superbowl, i'm not buying them
spjets
Didn't Roethlisburger almost die in a motorcycle crash, 6 months ago? Damn, cut the guy a break. 124
Didn't Roethlisburger almost die in a motorcycle crash, 6 months ago? Damn, cut the guy a break. If he's still feeling effects then he shouldn't be playing. If your on the field then you better perform. 14 INT's in 7 starts with a 1-6 record is not performing. Blackout
I think its safe to say the Colts and Broncos are the AFC's elite teams this year, its so wierd to be writing the defending champions off so early
