I always thought that it kind of sucked that they cut down such a big and old tree for Rockefeller Center every year. Why can't they just use a fake one. I cut my own tree every year, but that is at farms just for that case. Seems a bit of a waste to me, JMHO....

I agree a fake one makes the most sense. I'm not a treehugger either. one of my favorite memories as a kid growing was going into the snowy woods & cuttin down a tree
