uart
Citi Field ain't too bad, actually. If it were spelled "City Field" it would be pretty cool.

uart
This is the only way the Mets were going to get a new stadium... Would you have preferred honoring a man who never played for your team? I hate corporate names as much as the next guy, but this is just the state of affairs these days. Besides, this one is WAY better than Pink Taco Field... Frankly, Shea Stadium sucks. I guess it has some sentimental value if you are a Mets fan, but not nearly as much as Yankee Stadium, Fenway, and Wrigley. It's an eyesore, and it just doesn't come close to suiting the needs of the team or fans. Be glad they're replacing it.

toon88
$20 mill x 20 years = $400 mill..cha-ching! i couldn't care less what they call it. if you can get $400 million from someone to put their name on it, do it. they are out of the ugly eye sore in '09, that's all i cared about. sure it will cost me $20 park, $15 for a beer but that's the price you pay for a new home. I'll be doing the same in Newark for the Devils next year and in the new Giants/Jets stadium down the road also.
