Why Mangini is a smart coach

When we were getting killed by Jacksonville and weren't catching up in the 3rd and 4th quarter,Mangini made the team run the football.People were saying WTF are we doing?I SAW what we were doing-learning how to run block. The next week Leon Wasghington has a big game.Last game against Cleveland the defense finally learned how to stop the run and make big plays on 3rd downs. That carried over to this game...This ids a team that's getting better and who knows-we might even start getting some calls to go our way eventually.Watch out Chicago...

On the Jets last possession, conventional wisdom says pound the ball and kill the clock.

What did Mangini do?

He's throwing the ball on 1st down.

Good agressive play calling on offense and very good confusing looks on defense.

I'm damn proud of these guys. All of them. That's all I can say right now.

I'll tell you guys what-a big part of this win was that :31 second TD drive that brought the NE defense right back on the field-and they were getting punched in the face all day by our O-line,and getting tired. We've seen that work against us right after a Justin Miller KOR for a TD-a tired defense doesn't like 30 second drives
