I would say they have a bargain in Jones You won't say that by years end. Overpaying for Blaylock and Barlow doesn't make paying Jones $5mil a year a bargain. The Jets just makes it that much worse that your organization is continuing to overpay for average running backs. Blaylock had a few good games behind the best running blocking line at the time (Chiefs). The Jets should have learned the first time around. They did not. Jones just came off a superbowl... it was the right choice... he is an upgrade over Blaylock already (who started weeks 1-3 last year), and will be over Barlow... not to mention he is cheaper than them,.,.. Jones came off a Superbowl? Jones benefited from playing on a strong team. We scored 47TDs and Jones accounted for only 7 of those TDs. He had a meager 4 100yard TD games last season.
