CoachTsurfing
This is hypothetical. What if Martin had one year left to play and as a limited role player, went to a team with the likely hood they would make it to the superbowl. How many of you would be pissed? Write him off as one of your favorite players? Could understand as long as it wasn't us he was playing against in the superbowl if we made it? Just something that was passing through my mind. Alot of older NBA players do this. Like Mourning and Payton.

The only thing Mangini is planning with CuMar is the day next year when the Jets honor him when standing there in street clothes.

justincredible
I would not be mad at Martin at all as I would love to see him get a ring before he retires, even if it wasn't with the Jets. But as he said, he would rather lose with the Jets than win with anyone else.
CoachTsurfing
That is why I feel for the man. He has given everything to the team and to the fans and I would love to see him get a sb ring.
EM31
Jeez the guy needs to know when it is time to exit stage left. If another team wanted him then I am sure that plane fare out of town would be forthcoming in somewhere less than a heartbeat.

Yeah." in regards to whether or not he would let Curtis try for a comeback next year. it would be nice for Curtis to come back in a limited role next year, no doubt about it. Zeebers
I would wish him the best of luck. C-Mart has been nothing short of a class act and a great football player to boot. Some of the stuff he's done for charity and his community work has been outstanding.

What purpose would it serve for an over-the-hill, 34-year old, injured RB to take up a valuable roster spot next year? No wonder the Jets haven't played in a friggn' Super Bowl for 37 years. justincredible
probably one of the DUMBEST things ive heard on here EVER... As far as sports go there probably isn't anything more important than a Super Bowl ring. However, there are things in this world that are FAR more important than sports. Things like family, friends, good health, etc.
CoachTsurfing
Well, Marshall Faulk is pretty much a 10-15 carries a game and he is still playing.
