Boozer76
For those that wanted to draft Heath Miller, you don't have a leg to stand on trying to bash this move. Jolley may not be elite, but he is much better than the best heath Miller ill ever be. He's faster, has better hands, and is stronger going for the ball. Miller is probably a better blocker, but so was Becht.
Barton
What I don't understand is why the Jets wanted a TE so badly when they had Chris Baker who was poised for a breakout season.
Mean Papi Green
What I don't understand is why the Jets wanted a TE so badly when they had Chris Baker who was poised for a breakout season. because we signed a new Oc and the man uses alot of 2 TE sets, alot of them and we needed ANOTHER high quality receiving TE to make the scheme work not sure but tahts just a guess

The Good News it is a Breakout season for Baker.. The Bad News is it's a Herpes breakout!!
Barton
People! I am making fun of Bradways comments where he practically oiled up chris baker.
Jet/BosoxFan
what do you guys think...Bradway was gonna strike gold at #26? The first 7 or 8 picks are always no brainers...the rest of the draft is a search for a needle in a haystack. In Bradway's case, a futile search. Jolley will be fine. He doesnt have to be Shockey the way Chad spreads out the offense.

You really think Heath is on par with T Heap or Shockey? I don't think he is even close. He is like a Chad Lewis, nothing more, nothing less. Jolley is a better passcatching TE by far. PatsFanTX
Jolley will be fine. He doesnt have to be Shockey the way Chad spreads out the offense. That might be the best line in this entire 2-day debate. Jolley does not need to catch 75 balls for 900 yards. What he does need to do is catch the balls that hit him in the numbers. PennyBoy needs a clutch receiver he can go to whose name is not Martin or Sowell.

Excuses. First off, why did it take Hermy 4 years to get rid of Hackett if he was so bad? But wait, didn't PennyBoy lead the entire NFL in QB rating back in 2002? Who was his OC? You can't have it both ways. Blaming Hackett for PennyBoy's lack of production the past two years is BS.
Lady Jet
Definately not a sexy trade, but again, this is not a very sexy draft either. Logically, it makes sense though. We filled a much needed void that we most likely would not have been about to address in this years draft... for immediate impact anyway. Honestly, it's still too early to judge it. We still have to see how the rest of the draft pans out.

LionelRichie
Blaming Hackett for PennyBoy's lack of production the past two years is BS. pennington is a good NFL qb - good, not great. anyone would struggle in hackett's offense. let's see how pennyboy does with dinger, coles, mccareins, jolley, chrebet, and cothery this year b/f drawing any conclusions. if the jets stink it up this year i will be the first one to admit you are the master of all things football related. bitonti
Adam Bergen in Round 4 could've done just as well as Doug Jolley will do here. hey that's a great statement - really just top notch and not at all IGNORANT obviously a guy coming from the patriot league will just right into the NFL - and be just as much a contributor in a complex WCO as a VETERAN guy who is faster, has better hands and runs precise routes... but oh yeah that 4th round rookie he's gonna do just as well - really a great statement - for me to poop on !!
