nj meadowlands
They'll Be In NEW YORK JETS Overall record: 7-5 Conference record: 5-4 Remaining Opponents: Buffalo, at Minnesota, at Miami, Oakland What I hear from everyone I talk to is the same: It's too soon for the Jets. They're not ready. We can impose whatever preseason prejudices we want on this team and the playoff race, but the fact is this team is 5-2 over the last eight weeks, they play exceedingly smart football, and they finish against four straight teams with losing records. Phil Simms put it right on CBS from Green Bay on Sunday when he said: "They are going to reinvent themselves on both sides of the ball each week to do whatever it takes to win.'' They may have to run the table, which would mean winning at Miami on Christmas night, to get in. But because Denver and Kansas City both lost Sunday, I could see the Jets losing at Miami and still making it. If my imprecise seedings hold, how about this wild-card matchup: Jets-Patriots, Saturday night, Jan. 6. Sounds like the Saturday night NBC wild-card tilt to me. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2006/writers/peter_king/12/03/mmqb/index.html also, in his power rankings: 11. New York Jets (7-5). First-half drives in Green Bay: 63 yards, field goal; 51 yards, touchdown; 83 yards, touchdown; 70 yards, touchdown; 77 yards, touchdown. Score at halftime: Jets 31, Pack 0. DW10
Trust me, you clowns aren't going anywhere. So you beat up on the lowly Pack, big friggin deal. You'll be lucky to win 9 games this year. Believe me, you're going nowhere, absolutely nowhere. You're an average team. Any thoughts of playoffs for you clowns is homerism at it's best. I think I have a better chance of making the playoffs than you clowns do. You're going NOWHERE and you will all suffer as I have. Suffer! Suffer! Suffer! Bugg
One thing that bothers me a lot-Favre is done. And people like King writing utter crap aren't doing him, the Packers or the NFL any good. This is just dishonest tripe- You can disguise Green Bay's problems by saying Brett Favre is playing like he's 64 if you want. But you'd be delusional if you did. If they don't fix that defense, Bill Walsh could be the coach, Mike Holmgren the offensive coordinator and Joe Montana and Jerry Rice could be in their primes in green and gold, and the Packers would still be losing. SouthernJet
peter King seems to slowly getting off the Pats bandwagon and giving props to jets which will piss Belly off. Jet27
Peter King is a front runner....in the beginning of the year he had the jets finishing in the bottom of the division with an 8 and 8 record. Now he says the jets will be in the playoffs, this is the same guy that said the Fins were going to the super bowl.... The Jets can run the table, if they do I want them to play against KC somewhere in the Playoffs....that will be priceles!!!!!!!!!
