Barton
Jets Current Roster (63 players) I'll predict which players get cut and sent to PS to cut it down to 53 QUARTERBACKS 5 Brooks Bollinger QB 9 Jay Fiedler QB 10 Chad Pennington QB 14 Ricky Ray QB RUNNING BACKS 23 Derrick Blaylock RB 37 Josh Davis RB - Cedric Houston RB 28 Curtis Martin RB FULLBACKS 35 B.J. Askew RB 33 Jerald Sowell RB WIDE RECEIVERS 84 Jonathan Carter WR 80 Wayne Chrebet WR 80 Laveranues Coles WR 89 Jerricho Cotchery WR 81 Justin McCareins WR - Harry Williams WR TIGHT ENDS 86 Chris Baker TE 85 James Dearth TE - Joel Dreessen TE 88 Doug Jolley TE 83 Josh Norman TE CENTERS 68 Kevin Mawae C TACKLES 77 Marko Cavka OT 69 Jason Fabini OT 79 Adrian Jones OT GUARDS 78 Jonathan Goodwin OG 66 Pete Kendall OG 65 Brandon Moore OG 64 Dave Yovanovits OG DEFENSIVE ENDS 94 John Abraham DE 92 Shaun Ellis DE 96 Joey Evans DE 97 Trevor Johnson DE 99 Bryan Thomas DE DEFENSIVE TACKLES 91 Josh Evans DT 98 Alan Harper DT 70 Lance Legree DT - Sione Pouha DT 63 Dewayne Robertson DT Tank Reed LINEBACKERS 50 Eric Barton LB 55 Mark Brown LB 55 Barry Gardner LB 54 Victor Hobson LB 57 Darrell McClover LB 51 Jonathan Vilma LB 52 Kenyatta Wright LB CORNERBACKS 29 Donnie Abraham CB 36 David Barrett CB 22 Andrew Davison CB 24 Ray Mickens CB - Justin Miller CB 21 Derrick Strait CB SAFETIES 45 Oliver Celestin S 26 Erik Coleman S - Andre Maddox S 38 Jon McGraw S 20 Derek Pagel S - Kerry Rhodes S 25 Reggie Tongue S 42 Rashad Washington S KICKERS 6 Doug Brien K 34 6-0 185 11 California - Mike Nugent K 23 5-10 182 R Ohio State It would be my guess (not necessarily what I want)... Players who get cut/Practice Squad: 1. Doug Brien (no crap, nobody carries 2 kickers, esp this stupid elf) 2. Josh Davis RB (no chance in hell to make roster) 3. Josh Norman (too many TE's on roster) 4. James Dearth (dressen can long snap, but Dearth is awesome at that, I'd keep him around...) 5. Alan Harper (keep dreaming kid) 6. Derek Pagel (this guy just SUCKS) 7. Reggie Tongue (see Pagel except...WORSE) 8. Ricky Ray 9. Andrew Davison 10. Harry Williams (I like his tude tho) Practice Squad does not count towards the 53 man roster....right?
Maxman
LINEBACKERS 55 Barry Gardner LB He is under the impression that he is wearing # 53. That is how he signed his autograph the other day.

slats
You're missing a couple guys who have a genuine shot to make the team: DT Tim McGill, and LB Ryan Myers. Norman probably gets knocked out in the numbers game, as you say, which is unfortunate. They'll have a tough time trying to keep him on the practice squad. Ricky Ray will be given every opportunity to beat out Bolly. I was hoping for Ryan FitzPatrick in the 7th to beat 'em both.
PatsFanTX
- Cedric Houston RB (over rated practice squad player) - Harry Williams WR (big-mouth Freddie Mitchell WR, cut from team) - Joel Dreessen TE (Reach, cut from team) - Sione Pouha DT (Huge Reach for practice squad player) - Justin Miller CB (Head case with character issues, out of NFL in 3 years) - Andre Maddox S (Soft and slow, cut from team) - Kerry Rhodes S (see Andre Maddox) - Mike Nugent K 23 5-10 182 R Ohio State (Total bust for 2nd round pick. Middle-of-the-road NFL kicker). As usual, just my objective 2 cents worth.

VAJetsFan
Nice job EB. Couple changes I'd make: - Harper stays as Evans retires - Roster needs a punter; Make room by sending Celestin or Joey Evans to PS - I think they add a TBD O-lineman (maybe McGill) and lose a LB (perhaps Gardner)

Green DNA
Both these guys make the team easily Pagel is nails on special teams...and Tongue came into his own at the end of the season My memory of Tongue is watching him waving at Jerome Bettis in 2 games last year, seemingly afraid to get run over. This guy cannot tackle. The Jets are dying to get rid of him and between Washington, Maddox and Rhodes, hopefully one or more steps up so that he can be sent packing.
