Mawaeman
Jeez , he shows a little emotion, and even gives your coach some props... but its not good enough for ya.. You felt your were a super bowl team, but youi lose to a superior team.. Oh well you had a nice season, enjoy it for what its worth.. Hey enjoy it while it lasts, cause this weekend your patsies and your classless coach are crashing down to earth! I'd like to see your old men vrabel, seymour, and bruschi keep up with LT! Bruschi should have his stroke meds on the sidelines! This should be fun to watch! LOL!

WestCoastMole
Newsflash: The center of the Universe may be New York City - but people aren't flocking there to see the NY Jets. Translation: He's giving VT his moment in the sun as a good will gesture towards a player he has known, and respected, since he was HC of the Browns. If you think this makes him a jerk - well, you have issues. Who said anything about jerk ? But it's pretty obvious that Mumbles is the one with the "issues". There is a pattern of behavior of several years that leaves no doubt Mumbles is obsessed with the Jets. Why would any sane coach be involved with or give approval to the decision to use a 4th round draft pick to draft a grossly undersized Defensive Tackle because he is the son of a popular ex-player for a division rival ? Then cut the guy 3 years later ? If Mumbles was so enamored with his ex player from Cleveland why did he wait until the conclusion of Week 10 to sign him. Mumbles could have easily brought him to camp, cut him prior to Week 1 and resigned him Week 2 to relieve the team of any binding obligations. If Mumbles is really doing this for his buddy one would think he would want to employ Intercepterverde for as long as possible.

He was lucky to last 3 years. The guy was always hurt. He was drafted because he was a versatile player at Temple. Not because his Dad happened to play for the Jets. Maybe, possibly he drafted an undersized DT and tried him at LBer for two years int he hope of finding a LBer. It is not like Vrabel and Bruschi, both undersized college DL, have not made the transition yet. Why sign VT late? Only two QBs on the roster and Cassel gets all the snaps Brady does nto take. Why stunt his growth at the expense of a 20 year vet? Especially, a QB with 35 college passes. Snaps is what he needs. Plus, seeing VT was his QB in Cleveland and subsequently in NJ, je knows what VT brings to the table. AGain, Jets fans need to get over themselves and their self loathing.
