Another Yankee tankjob...

another night in the Baseball Forum where no Yankee Skankees are to be found as they cower in the dark, unable to emerge until the Yanks pull out a lopsided win against a bottom-feeder!

-No Porn 'Stache Bob boring us to tears with his unfunny "inside" jokes that are lost on 99% of the posters here.

NOTHING!!! Pathetic!!! The Yanks lost...yet again...you should be used to it by now!!!

Suck it up, you bunch of Sallies.

Oh, one more thing, Yankee $kankees;

Look on the bright side. The Yanks just suffered 2 straight losses due to lackluster pitching from an old codger and anemic production from the offense...that means they are due VERY SOON to put up double digits against their next opponent.

This is 2005, people, the Year of the Feast or Famine Yankees!

JBF, did you watch the game on YES tonight? You would have loved it. After Kevin Brown sucked ass for the first, oh, two years of his contract, he starts getting people out (finally) and the announcers started talking about him like he's back to his "old form." Like he should win the Cy Young or something. You know it's a Yanks are losing a game when they start talking about how great Mantle was and there's no score up on the screen for minutes at a time. YES=George's plaything.

I wish I could argue with this, but it's dead on. Kaat is the only one in that booth with any credibility.

And even Kaat gets the Pom-poms out too often. There is nothing worse than when a team's owner rules the booth. At least I don't have to listen to John Sterling anymore. <whew>

wow...we're 1/8 of the way through the season and already the Yankees are written off.

Question: what was the Jets record in 98 after 1/8 of the year? 0-2!! Tell me what happened after that! And I believe we had an old codger as a qb then.

To sum it all up: It's too early to be writing off anyone.

You must have the best job in the world when the only days you have to work are the days the Yankees lose.

What is that maybe 60 times, 70 days out of the year ?

Funny how you were nowhere to be had when Foulke was getting pounded the other night. We would just love to hear your comments on Wells now that he is out for month and John Wayne Bobbit aka. Curt Schilling ?

Please enlighten us misguided individuals. Halama pitching anytime soon ?

I'm sure the Yankees will put it together (if need be Herr Steinbrenner will trade cash for the entire NL all star team), but I am enjoying this prolonged period of crepulence.

I'm also enjoying watching so many mouthy Skank fans keeping their pie-holes shut.

Jeter's better.

Not this mouthy Skank fan :D

You know it that once the Astros officially drop out of the race that it will be a race between the Yankees and the Red Sox for Clemens.

Just love how Sox fans love to portray themselves as the the "Poor sisters of the Blind:

Bunch of @ssclowns

Actually, this year is the first year that I have wished I had the YES Network since the channel has been offered. I anxiously await the inevitable season-long implosion. I am already saving NY Post clippings and recording locally broadcast Yankee games for this year's installment of my Yankee Elimination Party. Listening to Kaat and Kay mired in the Yankee malaise would be music to my ears!

Right now, listening to the tortured ramblings of NYY lackey John Sterling on a nightly basis is not sufficing.

I criticize the Red Sox all the time, fella. You either cant comprehend my extensive vocabluary or choose not to read it because it has nothing to do with Yankee homerism.

Concerning the 2005 Red Sox, since you asked:

1. Curt Schilling: I'm not worried at all. Not even in the slightest. He's John Wayne re-incarnated!

2. David Wells, I still hate him from the pinstriped days. He has yet to give me a reason to change my mind. I think he throws too much garbage and I hate his douchebaggery. Not a big risk because he's not costing alot of money

3. Clement scares me ALOT. He has this annoying tendency to get rattled early...against garbage teams...and basically start mailing it in. WAY too much money also!

4. Wake = comsumate pro & my favorite Red Sox pitcher

5. Arroyo = very good #4, solid #3, gives us a legit chance to win.

Bullpen: Embree sucks! Mantei sucks! John Halamalama sucks whether he throws lefty or not! Timlin is a god! Keith Foulke will be OK but is currently killing me every time he warms up in the pen, much less enters the game to tacky Danzig songs.

*I expect alot from Wade Miller as early as this year...nobody else in this area code expects anything from him other than despair! We shall see.

I love Francona! I like the new ownership. In Theo we trust!

*more criticism: I miss my main man OC badly and I hate Edgar Diarhea because of it!

Trading deadline prediction: Since I'm not one of these baseball purist type losers in Chowder Nation pining away for Clemens to end up here, I am going to go on the record today, April 29 and wish aloud for Barry Zito to wind up as the #2 starter for the Olde Towne Team.

Once again, while the numbers on thew stat sheet look solid due to a few blwouts, Yanks piss away a solid Big Unit effort with anemic offenses. Which is pretty much how they blew a 3-0 in the ALCS-no clutch hitting. Big Unit and Brown both were good enough with some run support.

Good article in today's NY Sun(requires a subscription fee which I'm not paying, but a quarter on newsstands) by Allen Barra how when it comes to pitching Stottlemyre (and by extension Torre) haven't done much than to deal with solid pitching talent.

http://www.nysun.com/section/7

Nobody gets better under them-Weaver, Vasquez, Benitez, take your pick. In almost every case, they've tried to turn strikeout guys into "Let'em hit it" guys or tries to get them to "develeop" another pitch rather than pitch to strengths. One former Yank pitcher quoted anonymously alleges that Stott is useless when it comes to mechanics. And this goes back with Stott to Gooden and Cone in the Met days.Even with guys who blossomed, that happened before them with Pettitte and Rivera and with the Mets Gooden, Darling, Fernandez. And the story is fair-Stottlemyre is by all accounts a good guy and an inspiring story. But he's not helping things. Put it this way-if Dave Wallace was reading thr riot act to the Yanks' staff during this run, they'd have at least 2 more rings.
