Yeah, but back then we actually went out and met/banged actual chicks. I don't know what these young guys are doing today. Holed up (no pun) in basements playing video games or watching porn. Good Lord what a generation.
munchmemory
Loved them when they were still playing this raw bluesy style. Finally found the complete version from this legendary show. There is a film of the event on YouTube for those interested.
jetophile
Grand Funk Railroad, haha, what memories. There were 8 of us first cousins on my Mom's side in Flushing. I was the baby. One of my cousins went through this Mark Farner phase, armband and all. In fact, they all went through a hippie chit phase. I thought my Grandpa was gonna lose his mind. He was a barber, and he would chase them with scissors. I could never tell if he was trying to cut their hair or murder them. Probably both. I loved my Grandpa, he was something else. He's been gone for 36 years and we still talk about him. He's a legend.

Woodsy was/is a phenomenal addition to the band. But as you say, Taylor's solo work has been impossible to replace.

Can't find it now but it was great.

munchmemory
For all us Page fans, just saw this story on Yahoo. This version of "Money" (no, not the Floyd version) is the first thing Page ever produced. Interesting at the very least. Logical, squeegical, physical, Olivia Newton John, hoo hoo hoo. Bye. What a crap band. I hated the way that guy sang. And I call him that guy because I couldn't give two sh*ts what his name is. Richard Gay or something. Now I know that they've had several carnations (heh), but fukk me, I hated them. I went into a fetal position and listened to 'Love Hurts'. Personally I'd rather listen to 'I Wanna Kiss You All Over' by Exile in Chinglish. "I ranna kiss you arova, til the nigh closses en, til the nigh closses en!" Yes, it's out there.
