According to police, Louis Burch, 49, of Utica, threatened students with an air pellet gun in order to keep the peace in the classroom. The Rochester Hills Christian Academy teacher allegedly fired the gun five to eight times, hitting one student back. The gun fires plastic pellets. Oakland County Prosecutor David Gorcyca is charging Burch with misdemeanor assault and battery, which is punishable by up to 93 days in jail.
