gustoonarmy
The lions have said that Bly is on his way , for possibly a 2-3 rounder. I say we nab him at that value. Dre' Bly could soon be in another city, with the Lions looking to deal. The story out of Detroit is that the Lions are willing to part with cornerback Dre' Bly, and it should not take a first-round pick ... or maybe not even a second-round pick. From what I could gather, the best landing spot for Bly is Denver for possibly a third-round pick and a player or two. Detroit has a number of needs, and the Denver roster has a few guys who could help them. The sad and sudden death of running back Damien Nash will probably put the trade talks on hold for the time being though. http://www.nfl.com/combine/story/10023456
DefenseWinsChampionships
No way we should give up a 2nd or a 3rd when we need alot of help in alot of other positions other than the secondary... No thanks
drago
let someone else overpay for a CB that will be done in a year, if he's not done already.
The Troll
3rd rounder? I might do that. Nothing higher, though.
Columbia Jet Fan
3rd rounder? I might do that. Nothing higher, though. Third rounder is def. worth considering, especially given the weakness of this years draft at the CB position, and the fact we will prob. not go after Clements. He would be a good upgrade over Barrett...
4HCrew
Bly always makes plays but it will depend on his contract demands
Columbia Jet Fan
Would Bly be #1 over Dyson?
Green DNA
We're dealing with Matt Millen here. Offer him Curtis Martin and a 7th rounder and Bly will be in green and white next year.
Smizzy
Bly is a good CB I hate signing 30 yr old players to big contracts. Id would pass on Bly.
ECURB
What is his current contract? If its not that high of a # for this year, it might be a good pickup... problem is that you lose the chance to draft a starter that can play for 10 years, for a guy who has a year or two left... JETSFAN5180
Bly is a great cover corner who likes to stick.Hes a definite upgrade over Barrett.Detroit will probably take a 5th for him. Instant upgrade to the secondary.
L.S. Dylan
if we can get him for our 3rd or a later pick fine, if not pass. we draft can build our front seven and instantly make the CBs better that way.
4HCrew
trading a legit #1 corner would go for at least a 3rd and probably a 2nd
