SoFlaJets
with a lack of any big name FA RBs it looks like the best way to improve the running game is to continue the path started on last year -I like it Bit

shawn306
How did Rice do at the combine ? I remember them talking on ESPN (Salsbury)how they though Rice was coming out too early and would not be a first round pick. Jarrett doesn't get picked in the 1st round ? bitonti
No way do we spend on 3 1st rounders in the OLine No way thanks for all the feedback - JonE many thought 2 OL picks was excessive... I don't think the Jets care what people think the Jets and everyone else know there will be a bumper crop of DT in the 2nd round - no need to reach. Ghost
I would love that. Hopefully either Bush/or Woodley is there in the 2nd round.
CrazyCarl40
I just feel that there are too many holes on this defense to select another offensive lineman in the first round. I think a solid guard or tackle can be found in the latter rounds. That being said who else would they consider there?

I think a solid guard or tackle can be found in the latter rounds. That being said who else would they consider there? I honestly believe that if we don't go OT or a guy who can play both OG and OT like Blalock that we'll be going Corner, as there are many good Corners out there to consider at 25. It's a shame that Chris Houston will be gone by 25, but, there are some other very good choices there. There is no way we can go OLB, IMO, not with the way Hobson stepped up last season. Is Mebane a reach there? Is there a better DT than him at that spot? I wouldn't be completely against Blalock there, especially since he'd be gone before we selected again (a la Mangold last season). Chris Houston would be a wet dream at 25. I think he could immediately come in and start opposite Dyson. As far as the other corners there are concerned is Ross the best one available? The way this particular mock draft unfolds the way it does it may be the right thing to go BPA or trade down a few slots and pick up a 3rd or 4th round pick and still be able to get Blalock or Ross or Mebane, what have you and pay them less and get an extra choice to use later on. CoachTsurfing
It's a good safe pick. Going by this mock there are no d linemen worth the pick so it makes sense to me. I would rather have a d linemen but blalock is going to be good.

gang_green03
I'd prefer getting Revis if he fell that far and getting a guy like Grubbs with Washington's pick if we were wanted a guard, since I have him rated equally with Blalock. But thats a solid pick I wouldn't complain.
bitonti
same thing I was thinking,Gonzalez goes before him? I just can't see it Jarrett didn't run, and rumor has it when he does run he will be above 4.7. He's a USC WR who can't block and is slow. Gonzo ran a 4.4 and had a great workout. AfterBurner10
If you look at the ESPN top 32 board it seems possible to get the following players #21 Chalres Johnson DE Georgia #23 Patrick Willis ILB Mississippi #26 Moss DE Florida #28 Athony Spencer DE/LB Perdue I agree with most of you that Moss would be a great pic (6'5 256 7.5 sacks) , but Spencer is also interesting (6'2 266 93tack 10.5 sacks) All Big 10 team 2006

Moss needs to gain weight, is raw, and isn't good against the run. Spencer is a little more stout and I think he's just as explosive. Might not have quite as much upside though. PFSIKH
Bit cannot argue with your Patriots' picks. Although, with Graham likely gone a 1st round TE is always a possibility.

JetCane
Updated: http://www.draftdaddy.com/MD/MDstat.cfm Feedback welcomed. What did Marshawn run? Didnt he have a slow time? If so, i wonder if he drops even further. But overall it looks good, and I have a feeling you are correct that Quinn ends up with the fish. flgreen
Can't go wrong with Blalock. Instant starter.......No matter who we have at RB it will improve running game
johnny green balls
blalock is more than just a first round pick, he ensures we can succeed without an absolute stud marquee RB. that in and of itself will free up more cash for a D-line upgrade. Iceman88
Jarrett will have a better NFL career than Gonzalez. Jarret will be as big a bust as Mike Williams. He is supposedly running a 4.7 which is horrendous plus his own coaches have been saying he doesn't like contact or blocking. Jarrets teammate Steve Smith will be the better pro. johnny green balls
the fact that the pats pick right before us has me up at nights. i fear the pats will gladly trade the pick to a team who wants the guy we have on our board once #24 rolls around. Barton
I'd really consider taking Darrelle Revis at 25, pending his proday workouts. Blalock should be a fine guard. He's not a Shawn Andrews, but he should be very good in time I think.

Jethead
Nice job. I like our pick a lot. Hope he's there. With Det./Den. trade Thomas may not be a lock at 2. CJ and AP first two players off the board?
