34st GANG
agreed. Even with his considerable size he dose not hit the hole like a big back. He is not a Jerome Bettis. Think Ron Dyane.
GimmeShelter
Skins fans were totally disappointed in Duckett. I think they lost their 2007 4th rder for him as well. I'd rather we don't go for question mark RB's again(Barlow-Blaylock) and instead try and get a guy we are pretty sure that we can give 20+ carries to a game for the next 4-5 years. 4HCrew
I think TJ Duckett could be considered as assistant running backs coach, not a problem with that.
ECURB
Duckett in Jets' plans? <Mar. 2> Having released veterans Kevan Barlow and Derrick Blaylock, the Jets are seeking a veteran tailback to augment a depth chart where youngster Leon Washington is now the starter by default. One name to watch is Duckett, a player the Jets like, and who will visit with team officials soon, reports ESPN.com's Len Pasquarelli. The Jets feel Duckett, who played sparingly in Washington last year after the Redskins acquired him from Atlanta, offers a nice complement to the speedy Washington. Also, look for Jets tailback Curtis Martin to soon make official his retirement. Martin was a visitor to the NFL combine last week and told friends there that he has all but abandoned any hopes of a comeback. From ESPN

ECURB
David Bowens? Thats our big FA signing? An old mediocre DE? Name me all/any of the "big" FA's that any of the past 5 superbowl teams have made.
madmike1
Name me all/any of the "big" FA's that any of the past 5 superbowl teams have made.So the jets don't need to upgrade to be a super bowl team? That rational STINKS. You use every avenue to get better and that 28 million of cap room can do a lot for this team... or it can rot.

You use every avenue to get better and that 28 million of cap room can do a lot for this team... or it can rot. First of all, I dont think we have 28mil left after Cotch, that was also only an estimate in the first place. Of course we need to upgrade, we have FA and the draft for that. You are freaking out 12 hours into FA... its crazy... our FO isnt that of the LIONS... they know what they are doing. How do you know who they have/havent talked to? They could have talked to every Fn FA out there, you dont know. You still didnt tell me what big name FA's were signed by any recent SB team. ECURB
name the true gamebreakers the Jets have on their roster oh wait and Chad cannot count nor would he Our starting 2 WR"s they brought us back in the NE game all with their own great moves. Cotch is a gamebreaker. Rhodes of course B Thomas is on his way Ellis can be, he had some dominant times in 06' Leon Washington (Miami X-mas day) Baker can come up with HUGE catches, if used correctly he is a gamebreaking TE... he was always clutch in the 4th Q Nick Mangold has already made us forget who our old all pro C was... There are plenty of "game breakers" on the JETS, if your looking for sports center highlights then you should not be a JETS fan, Mangini is building a Pats style team... we wont have "the guy" it will be "the team"
