Columbia Jet Fan
When asked by an ESPN interviewer (its on espn motion now) who asked the hardest question? Meachem responded the Jets did when they asked what is everyone's names (of the 8 team reps interviewing them)? I think this is interesting to see that 1 the Jets are asking the toughest questions at the combine and 2 what type of questions they are looking for. By asking this they can gauge how interested a kid is and what their legitimate interest is in the jets. Obviously a kid who takes his time to make a note of everyones names is going to come off as very impressive and enthusiastic about the organization. Also coming off of job interviewing myself I can say how hard it is to remember some of the interviewers names in the middle of the interview when you have so many other things going through your head. I like everything about this except they were actually interviewing Robert Meachem...

oktaren
damn, i couldn't even remember my classmates names when i was in high school, and there were only 60 of them and i had been around them since i was 5. really though, it seems like a stupid question actually. it may be hard, but to me it proves absolutely nothing about how good a football player he is. also, who in their right mind would be able to answer that question correctly if they had been going through interviews with multiple teams? and even if you could, i see not a single thing that would prove. oh well. 34st GANG
So will he remember the names of the DB's in the formation that he just read wrong causing and INT the other way. I'd rather he be able to read a defense then his contract.

4HCrew
this means next to nothing to me..these kids are being interviewed all day and could wear down. Maybe they should ask questions like if you have a high profile undersized out of position linebacker on your team, what would you do with him? Cant Hackett
Was that supposed to be funny? Actually yes, but it wasn't funny that we wasted a 3rd round pick on him.
RSJ
Actually yes, but it wasn't funny that we wasted a 3rd round pick on him. Because of all the success the previous regime and NFL has in the 3rd round? Here I have a better one for you. Looks like Brad Smith can remember names too. Looks like Brad Smith can remember names too. Overall, the FO did very well in the draft, but Schlegel was a big reach in the 3rd round, most boards had him going later in day 2. Smith was a great pick and I would like to see him more involve in the O this year.
