4HCrew
guys do not worry there is a rumor that the Jets gave invites to Blair Thomas, Adrian Murrell, Johnny Johnson, Little John Flowers, Vaughn Sanders and Jonathan Reese for this years training camp. MTJ06
I must've missed it...what other useful players are gone? Yeah you missed it shutout. The Jets were supposed to have announced 10 free agent signing by now and spent all of their available cap space and be kicking back waiting for the draft. When the only names that are linked to the jets are COMPLETE GARBAGE and you don't hear their name mentioned with any of the better FA thats reason to worry. shutout
Yeah you missed it shutout. The Jets were supposed to have announced 10 free agent signing by now and spent all of their available cap space and be kicking back waiting for the draft. oh yeah,I forgot about that. Serious question: What in the history of the Jets,as well as the personal histories of Mangini and Tannenbaum made everyone think we'd be bringing in top FA after top FA in the first 17 hours of free agency? Yeah I know, there aren't any rumors out there linking the Jets to name FA's (other than the one or two articles this morning saying they'd make themselves players for A.Thomas). So what?!? So espn isn't falsely reporting any Jet signings or potential signings. Plus,I'm fairly certain that some of you who are complaining the Jets aren't even linked to anybody would be bitching if we were rumored to sign everyone who's available only to lose them to another team. I think we all need to calm down, remember that Free agency lasts longer than 2/3 of a day,and realize that Mangini and Tannenbaum, while they'll be interested in players that can help this team, want to build the core of this franchise through the draft. Exactly, The Jets keep saying that their plan is to sign value free agents and build through the draft. Thats what I expect to happen.

I'm sorry that i want my team to get good players and use the cap room they have instead of being a 2nd place team at best for the next decade. For the next decade? Thomas will be in the league for another five years max so please stop making ridiculous claims based off one f*cking player. Simmer down amigo, regardless of this free agency, Tangini will kick arse in the draft. And that's what will make this team.

That probably won't be enough to make us a super bowl contender. They needed to have a big FA period PLUS a big draft.

To win a Super bowl this year, would take a lot. I mean a lot, and some added luck. We are still 2 years away from anything like that, so i think saving this money for next year when we are finally ready is the smart choice. We've signed Cotch, working on Rhodes, and with any luck we can draft another Nick Mangold linemen. And a good RB in the later rounds. We've waited this long, whats another year. 124
There goes the best FB option out of play. 6 years, $18 million.. wow. Good signing by Atlanta. It's a shame that all the Jets' targets have pretty much been swipped up and signed in Day 1 of FA while we sat back and scheduled meetings with T.J. Duckett and David Bowens.
