ECURB
Not really. Just Thomas. Welker is going to be a pain in the ass to gaurd with a real QB throwing him the ball... he was already trouble in Miami with a few nobodys tossing him the rock. He's a decent slot WR at best. Doesn't really bother me. The only real impact player on that list is Thomas.

MikeJetsWord
And they have two first rounders.. this team is going to be a pain in the ass... so much for the "decline" they're supposed to be going through. I know you don't win games in the offseason, but there getting pretty damn close...

jets22
This spending spree reminds me of a team down in DC the last couple years, we all know how that worked out for Snyder and Company,,,,, can only hope the same for the patsies

Even you know that you got to the AFC Championship game because of your D and a very lucky play. Not your WR's.
Gainzo
Even you know that you got to the AFC Championship game because of your D and a very lucky play. Not your WR's. I meant to say Chad Johnson, not Chad Jackson. Back to the point. Gaffney and Caldwell were a big reason the Pats went so far in the playoffs. The D was banged up. I assumed you watched the Jets/Pats playoff game. How many receptions did those two have in that game?

You know that was a product of the jets front 7 having no run stopping ability and them having to play 9 in the box and single coverage all game. Gainzo
What does that prove? One game? Gafney and Caldwell have been AMAZINGLY avg their entire careers. So you want to look back at what those players did before they went to the Pats? Thats weak mate. Lets look at what they did in the playoffs: Caldwell: 16 receptions for 176 yards and 1 TD. Gaffney: 21 receptions of 241 yards and 2 TD. Thats pretty good for AMAZINGLY average receivers.

Gainzo
So because they had good games in the playoffs for whatever reasons that means you forget the rest of their mediocre careers (even with NE.) Caldwell had 61 catches last season. His previous high was 28. The Pats picked Gaffney up off the waiver wire after he caught 55 passes the year before playing for the Texans. You argument about prior performance is weak. As I stated earlier they both performed in the playoffs.
