David Wright would move for ARod

Unlike Derek,

David Wright said he'd be willing to give up his position to get Alex Rodriguez on New York's other team.

Wright said he'd be willing to play "anywhere" to make room for A-Rod. It seems highly unlikely that Rodriguez would opt out of his contract at the end of the season and then stay in New York, but Rodriguez wanted to play for the Mets before signing with the Rangers. "Did he really say that?" A-Rod said when told of Wright's comments. "Wow, tell him I'm flattered."

Never will happen IMO. Wright comes off as a good kid in the article with Sox-Yanks a favorite rivalry of his.

Derek never offered to move because Arod came in saying he was moving so Derek didnt have to. That he felt he was veritile enough to play 3rd.

Derek Jeter bashers can eat a ball sack.

Derek did not offer to move because he is barely an adequate fielding SS. He has to set-up deep to be an average fielding SS. He would probably have to line-up in short left field to field third base.

You described Derek as a left fielder. Which makes his gold gloves at SS even that much more impressive.

He didn't actually deserve those gold gloves, it's just part of the massive media conspiracy to convince the country that he's a great player.

I can't believe you didn't know that Max.

hahaha...he was asked a question about A-Rod by a reporter and he answered. guess that makes him a dick?

I don't understand it either. Wright complimented both Jeter and ARod in the article.

BTW, we would probably have to go all the way back to Mattingly's first two full seasons in the bigs to find a NY player who has gotten off to a better individual start statistically than Wright has.

Based on the history of teh team, I would have expected that Yankee fans would be one of teh least thin skinned fandoms in all of sports.

Based on a couple of comments within this thread, I have to wonder if they are not the MOST thin skinned.

Good God people, understand the article and what was written before you condemn the quotes. Quite silly.
