The worst place in America

Albany.

I have never seen a sunny day in Albany. Clouds may be anchored above it.

It's filled with corrupt politicians pissing away my and your money(or for the purposes of this board, sabotaging a great stadium plan).

It has all the charm of a dock strike crossed with the Port Authority Bus terminal on a hangover.

Not a bad choice actually. Lived just a few minutes outside of there for about 4 years, I was only in middle school but it was pretty easy to tell that place is a sh!thole. SUNY Albany is supposed to be a pretty good school though and I thought about going there too.

This is a response to GOB's thread

I will tell you.. it is no question in my mind

PHILADELPHIA, PENNSLYLVANIA

OMG

This is the most dirty/depressing place I have ever been to..

Yeah, it is not pretty, but I don't think it is as bad as places like Detroit, Cleveland, Gary, and Flint, to name a few.

Camden is probably the roughest city in the country.

I actually went to Philly once, good time, got a little sketchy walking back to the hotel with everyone drunk at 3am...lol it wasnt all that bad in the daylight though... I stayed right downtown... there were more people sleeping on the benches than in our hotel! lol

Detroit is #1 accoring to most who have been all over the US though

let me tell ya

i live in Philly - it's like any place else

some parts are horrible

some parts are amazing

ya know the movie trading places - it's like that - they filmed all of it in Philly, both the part when they are really rich and the parts when they are really poor

was thinking about the thread if you can go anyplace else in america where would you go - i can't really think of any other place i'd rather be than my little corner of Philly (east falls) - does that mean im happy? im 45 mins from AC and it takes me less time to get to and from Giants Stadium then when i used to live on LI.

I love Philly. The people are hard-working and "real," it has some of the most amazing retaurants in the country, and is chock full of U.S. history. It's my third favorite city in the USA. (Behind Manhattan and Chicago)

Not every place has some parts that are amazing.

Like Oakland, nothing amazing there.

I quite liked my visit to Philly.

Stayed right downtown.

Rode the subway to the vet and back for a game.

Had fun.

Philly is great actually.

Great history, great food, ,and the burbs are easy commute distance from Center City and theyare nice burbs with pretty affordable housing compared to NYC burbs..

Whats nice about Philly is its only 20 minute drive out of city you are in countryside in many cases,,,

Nonsense. Albany is a nice city with a few bad neighborhoods, like any other.

I'm voting for the entire state of Texas. If the world needed an enema, they'd stick the tube in Texas.

Albany never seemed like much to me, but I was pretty young and I hated living in that area anyway.

And I agree about Texas. I don't get the appeal of that place.

I officially resind my vote of Gary, Indiana.

Texas it is. We should have let them succeed when we had the chance, live and learn i guess.

El Paso texas. If it werent for the beautiful women I would say its the worst, but I tell you guys they have the most beautiful women I've ever seen. Its dirty, dusty, hot, no lakes or water, its just plain desert area. Cant find a decent job cause its right on the border. ....oh yeah, the food is good if you like Mexican food. All in all it sucks if you have a family.

Wait a minute, Austin and San Antonio are not that bad, however the rest of the state is awful. I live here, so I know. El Paso, Houston, Dallas/Ft. Worth, Lubbock, Amarillo, I've been to them all and they all disgust me, but like I said, SA and Austin are not that bad. I live in SA right now.

Here's another.

Anybody driven from Vegas to LA?

You might have noticed an area where the temp dropped and during a sunny day, you couldn't see the sun.

Visibility is limited.

Welcome to San Bernardino.

The smog from LA gets pushed east by the ocean winds and literally hangs out in the hills/mountains of this area.

Things, including you, get dirty real fast.

Kind of a nuclear winter minus the snow.

Property is reasonably priced there.

Amarillo, Texas has got to be the anus of this country. I'd say they have the plus of never getting cold weather, but I was stuck there in an ice storm for half a day once on the way to a NM ski trip.

SA and Austin are real nice cities Vinny. A lot of positives.
