faba
I would not expect Justin to be on the roster next year. His trade value is probably nonexistent though.
AVM
I would not expect Justin to be on the roster next year. His trade value is probably nonexistent though. True...but even a 6th or 7th rounder can turn into something, so anythings better than nothing.
ECURB
True...but even a 6th or 7th rounder can turn into something, so anythings better than nothing. J-Mac > 6th or 7th round player... I would really like to see him re-work his contract and stick around as the #3-#4 WR... he adds great depth to our WR group.
mangenious420
A league source told scout.com that the Philadelphia Eagles had strong interest in signing McCareins had they not acquired WR Terrell Owens in March of 2004 when McCareins hit the free agent market prior to signing with the Jets. That was before they got to watch him play two seasons with us. Two seasons in which he caught 60 something balls for 1050 yards. Thanks for posting like always SoFla but like faba said his trade value is probably next to nothing.
Columbia Jet Fan
I would rather keep J-Mac here than add another 6th rounder. The guy legitimately tried to get better and he did work hard in the system after his training camp problems. I think he works as a downfield threat, who knows he could finally start to turn the corner...
AVM
J-Mac > 6th or 7th round player... I would really like to see him re-work his contract and stick around as the #3-#4 WR... he adds great depth to our WR group. He did play better as the year went on, but he was definately in Mangini's doghouse from day 1. Assuming he's going to be gone one way or another, we might as well get something for him(if possible). CoachTsurfing
If he is willing to work hard and stay then I say don't trade him. But, if he wants to bolt, try and get as much as you can for him. We have released way too many guys already with nothing in return for them.
SoFlaJets
I like Justn McCairens-in fact we have an 81 jersey hanging in the closet. But, if he isn't in the CS's plans than they SHOULD try to get something for him
Ghost
True...but even a 6th or 7th rounder can turn into something, so anythings better than nothing. I dought we'll even get that, especially with what the Saints got last year. ( COLSTON )
4HCrew
unless he is due some high bonus number or something I do not see the Jets releasing him. If they can get a draft pick great if not keep him around he improved as the year went on
Green DNA
who knows he could finally start to turn the corner... The only corner he is going to turn is the one on Hempstead Turnpike, as he pulls out of the Jets complex for the last time.
DaBrick Wall
He can be a good 3rd WR, but at that price he should be no less than a decent #2 receiver. If he doesn't want to rework his contract, the CS will find a way to make a trade for him or just cut him.
D'brickMangoldJets
That be a bad move to cut him. Need depth at WR.
