gang_green03
http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2788825 If he's let go I think the Jets should pursue signing this guy. He drops a few more balls than he should, but he's a good receiving TE and is pretty athletic. He's also fairly young at 27. Considering the rediculous contracts that players have been receiving lately he might be too expensive, but for a reasonable price we should make a strong push for him. JohnnyCans
Chris Baker can be just as productive as McMichael when given the chance.

I've always liked McMichael, even though he keeps burning me in fantasy football every year. Schottenheimer doesn't use Baker enough, i doubt he'd be interested in getting another receiving TE. Arsis
id love to have him, it was probably just a love tap and i think we can all agree woman over-react with that b/s.' yeah those pregnant women do have tendencies to overreact when 230 lbs tight ends are hitting them ... I hope this was some failed attempt at a joke or sarcasm.
SoFlaJets
I seem to remember that RM was able to put off any rulings against him for that restaraunt incident last year with his wife to THIS year...might have something to do with his current status

Ghost
I would love to pick him up. Baker is good but I don't think hes ready to be a starting tight end. Just my opinion.

Ghost
this is good as its going to get with baker hes like 26 or 27. Randy is more athletic and has more upside. I think he will fit great in here, and keeping baker is not a problem. He is a great pass blocking tight end.
Gainzo
this is good as its going to get with baker hes like 26 or 27. The Jets don't use the TE like other teams do. Signing McMichael doesn't make much sense if the Jets continue to not use TE's in their passing game. Last years stats: Coles: 91 catches Cotch: 82 catches Baker: 31 catches Washington: 25 catches McCareins: 23 catches Thats a huge drop-off from the WR's to the TE. Leon Washington had only 6 less catches than the starting TE!
MiamiJet
I've said it to my friends here in Miami that are Dolphins fans. I would love for the Jets to pick him up. McMichael has excellent speed, can make the difficult, acrobatic catch, and is also a good blocker. While he does drop his share of passes, I think Chad Pennington, as accurate a passer as he is, can help improve that. Last year, Culpepper was still not 100% from his knee surgery and McMichael's game was affected. He could no longer run the routes he was accustomed to, and was used more and more as a blocker. In NY, McMichael could help Chad, who has never had a good tight end, and the addition of Thomas Jones also helps in blitz pickups. If McMichael is not picked up by NY, I'd love for the Bears to get him. Save a draft pick for the offensive line and fill in other spots.
