GREEN FIEND
All of these teams overpaying for O-Lineman in FA shows me just what a commodity they are in the NFL. IT ALL STARTS UP FRONT. Some people might think that anyone wanting to select O-Line with our third straight first round pick might be considered crazy......but hey, I've been called worse. Drafting Blalock with the 25th pick will upgrade our running game for WHOEVER they put back there. This makes much more sense than putting all of our "eggs" in one basket for a stud runningback like Adrian Peterson and having to pray that he stays healthy. Leon definitely showed promise in his rookie year and adding Blalock plus a guy like Bush or Irons could bolster our run game for years to come. Who's with me? Sperm Edwards
Agree except for drafting another shrimp HB like Irons. There are better complements to Leon, at least in terms of bulk size: Bush (as you mentioned) Hunt Smith Wright Wynn Clayton And free-agents: Brown Dillon Duckett
Pragmatic Bus
oh yeah lets pick blalock, bush, and ramirez. and my fat uncle will play DE and my grandpa will play OLB and i'll pick a fat hobo off the streets to play NT
Sperm Edwards
It appears that Bowens will play OLB. Tell your grandpa is services will not be needed. There's still hope for your fat uncle, though. And DRob will still play NT unless some draftee or FA who fits the bill magically appears from out of nowhere.

Sperm Edwards
you spelled his wrong so I did. But now that we just traded for Jones, I want Blalock that much more. We have zero chance of landing him with either of our (now both late) 2nd-rounders. Only other option would be if they feel a DE is worth the pick right there (Harrell, Pitcock, etc) and then hope Beekman slips down to us. I'd be ok with that also. I would then like to see defense with the two second rounders. Hopefully grab Ramirez with the 3rd rounder.

shutout
first i knew that second i guess to you all second round picks are the same where exactly did I say that? Whereas you used the term "giving draft picks". How exactly is someone not supposed to interpret that as you thinking we traded a pick for jones? shutout
i hope this doesnt become a habbit for mangini to keep giving draft pick for second tier RBs in search for their feature back. you said keep giving draft picks, comparing this trade to (almost definitely) the barlow trade where we gave up a 4th round pick for second rated RBs. . There is a difference between trading a pick away and trading down
Pragmatic Bus
you said keep giving draft picks, comparing this trade to (almost definitely) the barlow trade where we gave up a 4th round pick for . i'm not saying the jets didnt get a fair value i'm saying lets hope this is not a theme where mangini keeps trading for second tier RB's hoping to get lucky. jones is a solid player but he is not a feature back. and when a huy like adrian peterson is available in the draft why not trade up for him There is a difference between trading a pick away and trading down your still trading away a pick. no matter how you look at it. we could have drafted marcus macaully cb out of fresno who gave steve smith and dwayne jarret nightmares

Arsis
I am. I absolutely want BLALOCK and RAMIREZ out of this draft and COLOMBO at RT. That OL would be powerful and our run game will flourish thus creating more ,am to man coverages. Our WRs will have a field day! plus it will keep our defense on the sidelines longer which is a very good thing with our defense. If we can control the ball/ field position and time of possesion our defense will improve by default from last year.
