oktaren
The New York Jets announced today they have signed defensive end Bobby Hamilton. The announcement was made by Jets’ General Manager Mike Tannenbaum. Hamilton, 6-5, 285, is a 13-year NFL veteran who has played in 164 games, making 103 starts. He has accumulated 489 tackles and 19 sacks in his career, while playing for the Jets, Patriots and Raiders. Hamilton was released by the Jets on March 1. i wonder where hamilton fits in now that we have coleman too. i guess our 4 defensive ends are going to be ellis, coleman, hamilton, kimo? 124
Wow. Surprising that we'd bring back Bobby but now the defensive situation is pretty much a done deal unless we plan to later cut Kimo which would make no sense seeing as we just gave him his $600,000 roster bonus. Ellis Coleman von Oelhoffen Hamilton 4 34 DE's, we're stacked at DE, that's for sure.

#27TheDominator
Seems more and more like we wasted that roster bonus on Kimo.

We would have had 1 million in dead cap money if we cut him though.... he is a ****ty situation regarless of what we did with him...
Ten
Hamilton is good coming off the bench, but he's a 4 or 5 play player before his performance dips. He's strictly a back up and doesn't have the upside of Coleman. If we draft a 3-4 end then I'm sure Hamilton will get cut. The Troll
Not sure there is a need for both Hamilton and Kimo. Hamilton is better, though.

At this point Im almost ready to say go ahead and take the dead cap space in 07' and 08' and just cut Kimo... I guess they might as well just wait and see how he shows up to camp now though... maybe he will do better after they called him out for his poor play...
