Welcome to New York, Mr. Jones - we're damn glad to have you, especially for next to nothing. What a trade! These are not the Same Old Jets, people - not even close. Nice trade....

This week features the most POTW nominations ever - or at least as "ever" as I can remember. Holy cow there were a lot of nominations! Thank you all for taking the time to type those seven letters "POTW nom".

Let's get right to the good stuff - this week's nominations were:

encourage your wife to get a gay male friend.

hear me out. chick friends are insufficient. eventually she'll get in a fight with mary and then you'll have to hear about how mary is a selfish bitch who had plastic surgery and is an alcoholic. worse yet, you might have to mediate some retarded ho fight between them. and once you are done comforting her, she'll be hanging out with mary the next week like nothing ever happened. sheeeet, i wish woman forgave their husbands that easily!

straight dude friends are obviously unacceptable and we don't even need to talk about that.

only option left, get your wife a gay dude to hang out with asap. she may be reluctant at first but as soon as she realizes that he genuinely cares about her feelings and has no desire to get into her pants, knows his sh!t about fashion and makeup and is 1/8th as emotional as her chick friends she'll be fag hagging in no time flat. plus they'll both go see "In Her Shoes" or "The Lake House" together while you jerk off to internet porn or watch SB III for the 18th time. i'm telling you, this is the best and it's easy to set up in the big city even though i lucked into it. we know this resturanteur who is a great guy and who owns a place down the street. we went in there enough and became friends with him and sometimes he'd join us for a drink after dinner. it didn't take me long to realize they would talk like old friends while i drank 47 martinis without being scolded (this never happens). didn't take long when he said he wanted to see some awful movie-- i mentioned that my lady wanted to see that too. "ooohhh girl, less go togetherrr!" badda bing. i'm off the hook, she gets to see that drek and i don't have to worry about her getting slam banged by some p*ssy poacher. now they hang out once every week or two and it is like a mini vacation to me. this is a fail-safe plan. try it out guys, won't be disappointed.

(Editor's note: This is a good plan, but there is one big flaw in it I'm afraid. One of my fraternity brothers from college is gay and I used to hang out with him all of the time in the bars. He once asked me why and my answer was simple - the most beautiful girls are always around you. Be careful of your wife's gay friend friends...)

Now I do.

I'm happy with the crappy house I have as long we can get pizza delivered, buy beer and the heat, toilet and Plasma tv and Directv work and the kids are clothed and go to school.

Gay guys are all over HGTV and one of those other pointless channels telling you to spend your offdays and weekends breaking walls, painting, renovating, shopping, looking at doylies and doodads and crown moldings and fixtures and SH!T that is time-consuming and expensive.

If I could get rid of the Hetro Mens' Gay Torture Vision channel, I'd be a rich man. And sitting my a$$ on my couch watching sports. Meantime, I'm probably going to Target, or Linens and Things, Lowes, and Home Depot to say, over and over, "Yeah, that looks great! Can we go now?"

i could reference a ton of threads here where men are degrading women's looks but i wont... but you know they exist.

ALSO

you say we lie?????

While i was dating, often i would meet men and they would say they would "call" yeah right...

also why do you think women are bad at math??/ we are always told that

"---------" this length is = six inches

we are demanding???

we often want men to remember two or three dates a year... 3 f'in days out 365 and nope ... that is too much for your peeeeee brains without a reminder.

i spent my life being a good friend to guys because i loved sports and would listen to their crap.... and believe me you are all just as whiny as most women..

if you debate that.... ask max and the mods how many times the women of this site complain to them...

i just hope you are blowing off steam, because if you aren't .. well then i really hope you dont have daughters....

(and yes i read the whole thread...and i see some of you back pedaling near the end... but that ain't enough)

and yes this is a bit of a rant... and i love men..and treat the men in my life well.... but you guys need a swift kick in the a$$.

That women are evil thread...I want no part of that. Pure ignorance. Sounds like a pity party for guys. Divorces, getting dumped, blah blah blah. It happens to everyone.

My own story will stand up against anyone else's story here. I dated a girl for six years. Got engaged. Then had my heart ripped out when she left me for my best man. My friend since kindergarten completely blind-sided me. I had every reason to be bitter for a long time. But I had the ability to stand up and dust myself off, and get back out there. My optimism about life got me through that time. If you are bitter and angry over women, chances are you are cutting your life short, and you will die a broken, bitter old man.

Anyway, I got lucky and met my wife soon after. Another thing, I didn't write this because the Mrs. will see it, either. So kiss my ass.

(Editor's note: Sounds like the words of a very lucky man)

I thought jw got second, and I was runner-runner-up, or runner-up-up.

But that's okay, ecurb, you can resize the bronze medal and wear it this week if you want.

You're right. I was runner up for the assist of the week.

I'll take the silver in that event.

Tough competition this week!

yea there were a lot of posts (I think) and a LOT of funny posts this week-when something I read makes me laugh out loud for real I usually give it a POTW nom-it's a good policy in my opinion

I don't think it takes that much I had to whine for a few weeks to him about how he hates me and being the good guy he is,he must have felt bad for me and gave me a POTW win a couple back

GreenBeans is doing a great job with POTW. Im just busting his balls.

"it ain't who ya know, it's who ya blow"

now wait a minute Smizzy what exactly are you saying? Did Shane pick the POTW's before his banishment?

POTW was actually one of Tom's original ideas. We used to bust his balls because it was called Post Of The Day and got updated once every two weeks. We renamed it to POTW and no it's like clockwork thanks to Beans.

Thank you, bossman, for letting me have my fun. I'm just glad it's not Post of the Day - that would be near impossible.
