Beta Drivers

One word of advice:

If there is a beta out there to download - a game, an OS, a driver for one of your peripherals....don't download it!

I am currently in pc hell for it. I tried to install a beta video driver. The system crashed BAD. Won't even boot up to safe mode. Yes, the guy running the tech forum can't even get his pc running. Lesson learned.

This is the same guy that crashed his PC first... lol :)

Did this happen on Vista or XP?

Vista. Everything was running smooth. Should have left well enough alone, and waiting for the final release of the drivers.

Thats what happens when you try to be on the "cutting edge" sometimes you fall off the edge...

Hey Tabor,

I have the Vista coming in shortly. Before I even consider putting it on my new pc I was thinking about putting it on old one that meets the requirements. If I put it on the old one first will I still be able to put it on the new one ?

Unless you are a good hacker, or know how to pirate software, then no.

Microsoft will have frequent updates for Vista, and the OS must be registered to get the updates. These updated will be important IMO since Vista is still a little buggy.

You can call up microsoft and purchase another license code for less than full price... thats your best option... then you use the same software and install it with the different codes on each PC.
