BoomBoomMancini
Could you imaginie having Shaq in the redzone going up against one of the Patsies smurf corners?
GREENSMACKS
same reason why shawn bradley sucks in the nba, no coordination.
RSJ
Because they prolly could not get off the line and out into their route before the QB was sacked. But if they could they would make more money in the NBA.
BP
Could you imaginie having Shaq in the redzone going up against one of the Patsies smurf corners? Harold Carmichael was probably the tallest player to ever play WR in the NFL..he played for the Eagles from 1971-1983 Ht/Wt: 6-8, 225 Ed ''TooTall'' Jones was a 6-10 Defensive end for the Cowboys..they're rare
shawn306
Ted Hendricks was pretty tall as well. 7 footers usually end up in the NBA and hopefully someday one will be on the Knicks.
James Hasty
The NBA pays more. Nuff said.
mbn007
The NBA pays more. Nuff said. And it's all guaranteed, unlike the NFL. BTW - way back in the early 1960s, Willis Reed went to Granbling on a Football scholorship, but the Basketball coach took 1 look at his coordination, and made him a Center for them. He was a T/E in High School, I believe.
PeterNorth09
Three Reasons: 1. Center of Gravity is too high. 2. Speed. 3. Just about any 7 footer can get on an NBA roster, regardless of talent. Felton Spencer anyone?
johnny green balls
nba pays more and less damage to your body.
RSJ
I would be interested to see who had a longer career - but I'm willing to bet an NFL WR has a longer career than an NBA center. It get pretty physical in the NBA away from the camara in the paint. Plus the running they do takes its toll on the knees.
