Why disable rep?

Because some people find it stupid.

But why really? That's a poor excuse. The only thing I can come up with is they don't really want to know what other posters think of them. If it was just a matter of thinking it is stupid, they could ignore it. JMO.

Or they are scared theirs wont be good enough, not aimed at you... just sayin...

Rep is a good thing, BoomBoom is like all red bars... someone new to the site would now know not to take him serious...

It's easier to ignore when it's disabled. Don't bother trying to bad rep me because of this because I disabled mine.

That's what's so weird. Half of the people I have seen with it disabled would get nothing but positive rep from me.

People that disable it are big babies and chicken... luck for me I found a picture with both... :)

TO be honest I really dont care if people use it or not, I do however dont see the harm in having it enabled... unless your trying to hide something.

I can't take that chance

Just open it up real quick, and I promise you'll be looking at at least one green bar. If it's red you can just disable it for the time being anyways. No risk, high reward. :)

P.S. Thanks Alk, I knew that post would give me some rep. Here's yours back.

*looks at ecurbs rep* That system is flawed. :)

I get like 1 bad rep for every 10-15 good ones... so I have built up enough to take some bad ones...

Usually I get a few bad ones when I flat out ask for rep... what they dont know if usually a lot more people just gave me good ones for asking... :)

I did create the "rep how to" thread...

I have given out too much in the last 24 hours but I will give you some rep soon enough... I think you are one of the poor suckers that has given me good rep! :)

This rep thing has a weak spot. If you give out a bad rep, chances are the person receiving the bad rep will counter you and give you bad rep also, out of frustration.

Max gave me a bad rep for the TX thread, I have been too scared to give him bad rep back... :)

You need to put more fear into people Tabor!

:) Yep, I've been on both sides of that.

Oh yes, rep master one more question.

Does the amount of rep increase/decrease at different rep levels? Like for instance if you repped me would I get more points than if a new poster with one green bar repped me? Same goes with negative rep?

I think so yeah.

The bars are only part of it too, once you fill up the bars you still need to get pretty high up in points to hit the top level... after the bars fill up though the only thing that changes is the little words that come up when you mouse over the bars.

It reminds me of high school. It's "retahded" in my opinion. And, yes, out of curiosity, I did check it and I have 257 rep points.....no clue if that is good or bad....just throwing it out there to show everyone I'm not "afraid.":p

SO you would be green, just enable it!

BTW I have about 1600 rep points :)
