I would like to go but really don't have anyone to go with. Anyone up for a road trip to Kansas? Beers are on me. :)

My future son in law goes to grad school at KU. If you live near Lawrence I'll pm you the name and phone #. :bag:

I'm about three hours from Lawrence but I might be going there next friday to see my buddy's band play at The Replay Lounge.

I'm big on Greco/Roman chit in General (Word Play). Spartans defeat the Persians, greatly outnumbered. Good epic mano a mano stuff, I'm thinking.

Yeah, except the Spartans lost and were slaughtered. Did a lot of damage on the way out, though.

Looks like a good action flick, if a little gay. When it hits HBO, I'm there.

This movie was made for people like me who didn't do their history homework, and thus wouldn't know the ending.

Thanks for the spoiler.

Saw it last night. One of those movies where you sit there the entire time going "holy f***" . F'ing awesome movie. Probably have not seen a movie like that for a long time now. I would recommend it to just about everyone. Pretty gory, but great action and great story.

am i the only one that wasnt impressed, and felt it was too simpleton-like to be considered as america's #1 epic movie of the century? personally, i was unimpressed, but hey, the last time i mouthed off on a movie (the marine), i woke up with toothpaste on my face.

Just got back from seeing it today since it sold out on friday night while I was standing in line with two people in front of me. I wanted to see this movie so bad that I went by myself. I haven't done that since the first Lord of the Rings. I had very high expectations going into this movie and it lived up to them. Best movie I've seen in a long long time. During the previews, the three movies I want to see are Knocked Up, Spiderman 3 and Mr. Brooks.

Yes, we want to see Knocked Up and Spiderman 3 too... what's Mr. Brooks?

I saw Lord of the Rings alone too... couldn't find anyone to see it with me, which was pre-MrTabor of course.

I shouldn't say I went to Lord of the Rings alone. My good buddy Crown Royal came along with me. :) Mr. Brooks has Kevin Costner and Dane Cook in it. Costner is a hired killer or something of the sort and Dane Cook happens to witness him murdering a couple and then Costner goes after him.

Wow, you're hardcore. Never thought of booze, I usually smuggle in pretzels and a snapple. Are we talking full-size bottle here or the little bottles you get at the counter?! LOL :deshade:

Another movie to see is Oceans... what number is this now, 84? Looks good though.

It wasn't one of the huge bottles and wasn't one of the little airplane size bottles. It was somewhere in between. Just enough to mix a drink in the biggest cup that they could give me. :)
