Pragmatic Bus
lot of people have different expectation for the jets in 2007. some are reasonable and some are way out there. but i expect the jets to atleast dethrone the patsies. i think jets first need to win there own division and then they can compete for the superbowl. i expect mangini to hold up to his vision of consistency and assembling a smart hard working team and change the losing culture. the fishsticks dominated this division with marino and griese and now patsies dominate with tom brady at their helm. it is time for a new era of jets football and we need a new strong armed QB to blaze a path for the new, newyorkjets. and i believe that clemens is the guy to do it. we have already seen what chadwick can do, get us to a wild card game.but that is not enough. i think sometime in 2007 clemens will get his shot and we will see wat he is made of. Arsis
I expect 9 or more wins, improvement from last year on both sides of the ball and another step in the right direction for the jets franchise.

First it was Coachjacking, then highjacking, then carjacking and now Ive been threadjacked? What are your expectations for the Jets offense in 2007, what should be their expected PPG average or do you see them as unstoppable, above average, average ect. 1) As a unit they should be way ahead of last season as they (with the exception of this year new additions) will be in the second year under the system so they wont have to spend time learning the system and can spend alot more time perfecting it. 2) Last years rookies in key positions, center, tackle, RB, and wr, are now in year 2 and should be much improved over last year due to having knowledge of the system and NFL life itself. 3) With the addition of Thomas Jones, the drafting of Leon & Brad Smith, and the development of Cotch this team now has alot of playmakers that can be used in many different ways. (also Coles & Baker) I am looking forward to the season to see how we are going to utilize all of our playmakers and think we should be able to score with anyone Jets Offense.....Unstoppable in 2007? - JetNation.com

If you think that sometime during 2007 we see Clemens it means that barring in injury to Chad of course the Jets are struggling so chances of catching the Pats are slim. shawn306
Still way to early to call. You still have a draft and maybe some June 1st cuts to go through before you can even begin to get an idea of what this team is going to like in 07. So far though the Jets have done pretty well. TaborJet
I agree with 4H. Way too early to call this one. Ask me again when preseason is about to wrap up.
war ensemble
Just like how you called that the Jets were going to make it to the super bowl this year? I predict we go 8-8, which many will think as a regression but I see as an improvement.

Cotch-Rocket
Anything less than 10 wins and a playoff appearance (WC or division) is a disappointment, regardless of June 1st cuts, the draft, etc., if only for the fact that they improved last year from the previous year. Maybe if it was the end of a stretch of successful Jets seasons would regressing be accepted.
Gibbon
I actually think we'll see a better Jets team from the beginning to the end of the season, but may see more losses. Maybe I'm a pessimist, but the Patriots have already improved this off season (so have the Jets) and the Jets play what looks to be a tougher schedule over all next season. Combine that with the fact that last year Chad was unusually healthy and that his back up is going to be an untested rookie this year and I think the Jets will struggle to win 9 games. I think 8-8 with a clear improvement on D and O will be a good season though most on this board will immediatly start questioning everything Mangini did and does and some will undoubtedly call for his replacement. Jimmy 2 Times
Pennington will be much improved. It's his first season not coming off injury or learning a new system and we have a new backfield to allow some playaction magic. I expect leaps and bounds from the defense in stopping the run and getting off the field on third downs. I don't know what the record will be, but I expect to be in the playoff chase (division or wc) until the end.

pjam76
I thought they would have taken a step back... 7-9 or 8-8 or 9-7 but very few people would have said 2-14. Nobody was calling this a rebuilding season that's for sure. Then again, it's not rebuilding, it's that they just suck and need to replace 95 percent of the team and the coaching staff stinks this year.
