her husband Ray went out hunting (they live near Lake Okeechobee) and he couldn't find his second dog so he left his shirt by the pond and the dog must have gotten thirsty and went to get a drink in the pond and a gator got him-now that's something you never hear about happening in Jersey

Oh ****..sorry to hear about the dog SFJ.

I saw a Panther in englewood,FL about 15 years ago..seeing that will give you a brown spot in your pants quickly.

yea a panther is something I wouldn't want to run into either...

you ever hear of a skunk ape? My uncle and his partner saw one in the Everglades about 25 years ago-they are Florida's version of bigfoot-they were cops in Boynton Beach and were on a drug stakeout

i saw a show about the skunk ape...pretty funny the people were making the "skunk-ape" call in hope for it to show up. as far as gators go in FL i feel pretty bad for them they are slaughtered and hunted like no tommorrow by florida redneck mullet trash.

From wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skunk_ape

The most famous photographs of reported skunk apes, the "Myakka skunk ape photos", were taken anonymously and mailed to the Sarasota Sheriff's Department in Florida late in 2000. They were accompanied by a letter from a woman claiming to have photographed the creature in the palmettos at the edge of her backyard. The elderly photographer and her husband reported that for three nights the creature had entered her yard to take apples from a bushell basket on her porch. She was convinced it was an escaped orangutan.

weird

That's rare. Th3ere are very few actual Florida panthers left. The state is actually bringing in panthers from Texas to help increase the population.

Did anyone else hear the tune from "Grandma Got Run Over By a Reindeer" when they read the title of this thread?

My neice's dog got eaten by a gator,

While hunting in the swamps with husband Ray.

You may say there's no such thing as gators,

But one just had a terrier filet.
