ECURB
So the Bulls trade Curry to NYK, they got their #1 pick (Tyrus Thomas) and Mike Sweetney basically, they also can swap spots in the 1st round this year... The Bulls traded Curry to the NYK, and also traded Chandler to the Hornets for PJ Brown basically... TOTALS SO FAR FOR SEASON: . .REBS .BLKS .STLS .AST .TO .FL .MIN WALLACE .663 .136 .92 .141 .80 .123 .2188 CHANDLER .773 .115 .31 .50 .105 .216 .2158 CURRY .439 .34 .27 .53 .213 .206 .2173 Wallace wins every category except Rebounds... Curry is well behind the former Bulls center and Wallace... I would say the Bulls made out good, they got Tyrus Thomas, can swap picks this year, got two big men who are great for depth (Sweetney, Brown) and found a great FA replacement for Curry (Wallace) who is doing better than him. You're completely spinning this in a Michael Jordan frontrunner kind of way. 1. Ben Wallace - he was not a part of this trade. You make it sound as if the Knicks traded Wallace as part of the package for Curry and that is simply false. Cap room was created by the trade but the Bulls already had cap room and the Knicks were $50 million over the cap so they obviously were not in the Ben Wallace sweepstakes. 2. Tyrus Thomas - he's an undersized power forward who can develop into a good role player but that's about it. He's an Antonio Davis clone and while having role players like that is nice having a 6'11 Center who gives you 19 and 7 a night is much nicer. 3. Mike Sweetney - the boy is a scrub, pure and simple. He's too small to play PF and too slow and has no shooting range to play SF. He has some post up moves and can grab some rebounds but he can't defend anyone and his value is pretty much as a back-up. 4. The 2007 draft - Unless the Bulls get the 1st or 2nd pick overall in this year's draft this trade works out in favor of the Knicks. The Knicks probably won't make the playoffs but their record is nowhere near the bottom of the league so the odds of the Bulls getting Oden or Durant are slim. Any NBA GM who trades Oden or Kevin Durant to the Bulls for a couple draft picks should have his head examined. This year's draft has only two superstars in it and in the NBA you need superstar talent to have any chance at winning a title. Curry underachieved with the Bulls and continued to do so last year with the Knicks. This year he's had a breakout season and while the Knicks probably won't make the playoffs they'll end up improving by about 15 wins this year and Curry had a lot to do with that. mangenious420
The word defense doesn't exist with Eddie Curry.
ECURB
Peter North you miss my point... You guys got curry from us, we managed to trade away our remaining center for even more to NO, and STILL got a defensive upgrade in Wallace. The Bulls made out like bandits on this deal, the traded 2 centers away and still managed to find one better than both of the guys they had. Curry is not having a break out year, he should not be an offensive weapon ONLY... thats for the gaurds to do... his defensive stats are terrible. 124
Have the Knicks won a ring? No. Have the Bulls won a ring? No. Seems pretty even to me. I measure it by rings, not by playoff apperances. Probably why I'm not a huge PennyBoyWonder fan.

To say the Bulls didnt get the better end of this trade is crazy. They traded Curry, got some young talent, then a year later got one of the best defensive centers... Curry can score all the points he wants but your big guys need to play D, which he cannot do.

Are you trying to say the Bulls have a chance of winning the championship? Did you or did you not watch the Mavericks / Suns game last night. There's also another team out there in the west named the Spurs. Yeah, the East isn't winning this year unless Wade comes back and Miami goes on another miraculous run. Ghost
The Knicks/Bulls trade was on the worst trades ever. On the Knicks part.

ECURB
In a 7 game series they do not stand a chance. Sorry. Yes they do, no team can match their ability to stay fresh during a game... they have a good bench and the players are all in great shape becuase of the coach and the style they play. Im pretty sure the Mavs and Suns were back to back wins this season... they were at least close... Everyone thought for sure the west was going to win last year, they didnt. The Bulls gave the heat a run for their money last year WITHOUT a starting center. The Heat went on to win it all... Anything can happen.

I was just saying that because of your pointless arguing that the Bulls can/will win the Finals because anything can happen.
