Rob D
Tony Blair has won a third term as Prime Minister, though he has a much smaller majority in the House of Commons. This is really an FYI as I'm sure many of you weren't aware there was an election here yesterday. I don't want to start a political debate as I know that's not wanted on this board. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/vote_2005/default.stm
faba
Thanks for the info Rob D It actually has been covered pretty extensively here in the media. Blair good or bad is linked with Bush because of Iraq so it is a hot story.

Bob
So Bush keeps his British lap dog a little longer.... True, but it would have been even worse if the Tories had gotten into power.
Panzer Division Marduk
True, but it would have been even worse if the Tories had gotten into power. Well Howard's stepped down as Tory leader, and up North, The Ulster Unionists were massacred.
Bob
Well Howard's stepped down as Tory leader, and up North, The Ulster Unionists were massacred. I saw that. I don't know enough about the Tories to know who's in line to become party leader. Northern Ireland looks screwed with both Sinn Fein and the hardcore unionists picking up seats. Of course, no one from Sinn Fein will actually TAKE a seat in Westminster.
