faba
Indianapolis Moves Against Super Scalpers By Associated Press document.write(getElapsed("20070327T155101Z"));4 hours agoUPDATED 3 HOURS 54 MINUTES AGO INDIANAPOLIS - The City-County Council has voted to make it illegal to scalp tickets to the Super Bowl, part of an effort by the city to bring the game to the city in 2011. Council members also voted Monday to provide security and other services for the game at no charge to the NFL. The city provides similar services for free at other sporting events, such as the Indianapolis 500. The anti-scalping proposal, which passed 24-3, would add the NFL championship to a special law that bans scalping at the NCAA Final Four. Indianapolis will learn in May if it will get the 2011 Super Bowl at the new Lucas Oil Stadium, now under construction.
