What makes a team great?

Written by Tim Knight

What makes a team great? This is the question people ask thereselves and there teams year round to improve it. No matter what the sport is. But I would like to take a look at the 2 biggest sports (Baseball,Football) to see the differences, and how to do so.

Today I will be looking at the football side of things.

Football:Football for as long as it has been here,as been a running game.If you can beat a team on te running game you have the game beat, but in the past thirty years this has slowly been changeing into a half run hafl pass game. So you need to think about how to adjust it a huge task.

With any offense you need one thing:A decent Offensive line, these guys are the back bone of every touchdown, every fieldgoal, and every play.Yet there are the most overlooked guys in the entire football league.

The second biggest position on the entire football field,is the Kicker.

Please put your tongues back in your mouth.

The kicker is after all the kickoff specialist, extra point kicker, field goal kicker, and the leader of the special teams.

These are just a few keys..to a successful Defense

I am not sure what to say. I think I might finally be speechless.

I will just skip the obvious. And add that I am confused. Is this implying that the Kicker is the key to a good defense? Ah, nevermind.

I could understand the part about O-line. Everything begins in the trenches and having a strong line is very vital to the success of a team's passing, running and kicking game. It is the foundation of the whole offense, and is often overlooked. When you have a sturdy line you can get away with having mediocre skill players. You can also have the most amazing skill players in the world, but without a good O-line you're dead before you even started.

The part with the kicker I don't really get. OK, you need a good kicker to make those deciding FGs, but I would think a strong defense (more spesifically, defensive line) is more important...

I guess your point was to point out the things people often overlook and don't realize how important it truly is.
