just wanted to include someone in the thread that made you feel normal. besides the fact that hendrix, clapton and others aren't include indicated this thread was just a big joke anyway.

This coming from a guy who has a turd as an avatar.Like I said before,I tried to keep the options as even as I could otherwise why make one? If I put Hendrix on there wouldnt it be a lost cause? hhhmmm....200 votes for Hendrix and 0 for everyone else.Also if you knew anything about rock you would notice its a poll with players from a "BAND",playing lead,not a soloist guitar player and singer.Rock band lead guitarists.

Clapton was in Cream, the Yardbirds and Blind Faith, and did studio work for everyone from the Beatles to the Allman Brothers. Does "The Jimi Hendrix Experience" somehow preclude being in a band?

so basically you want to know who is the best 2nd rate guitarist ever? that's like finding the world's tallest midget. where does 1st rate stop and 2nd rate begin? why did you eliminate some guys from the running? just seems like the results of this poll tell you nothing since you admitted eliminating guys you thought would get a lot of votes.

some of my all time faves are joe walsh, clapton, hendrix, jimmy page, syd barrett, peter green, ronny wood, the list just goes on and on.. music is my life

mine too man.I actually made the poll like it is because usually on football sites people dont really recognize the greater talents so I kept the list radio friendly thats all.I really dont like many of those guys.Except Angus,he is just a great showman and performer,moreso than a great player,but he gives 100% everytime on stage man.The most rockin sonofagun I ever seen.

Out of this list I went with Page. However, besides the obvious choice like Hendrix who I do like, some of my other favorite guitarists are Stevie Ray Vaughan, Josh Homme, Matt Pike, J Mascis, Neil Young, Thurston Moore, and Ron Asheton just to throw some other names out there.
