kloogy
Everytime I watch Espn, I see someone predicting doom for the Yankees this year. Whether it's the pitching, or the front office, etc.....wtf?
Maxman
I think it is going to be bad. I predict they will go UNDER in wins and only reach 96. I fear they may only win the division by 7 games. The starters might have to play until the middle of September this year. Talk about a train wreck.

Green Jets & Ham
They're all over-reacting to some minor aches and pains in the starting pitching and Carl Pavano starting the opener The pitchers are fine, no serious injuries, so the Yankees will be just fine as well
Kidhuman
I caqnt see them tanking worse than the Sox. The division should be easy enugh to win. GimmeShelter
I see no reason why the Yanks can't make it to the divisional round again this year.
Matt39
I see no reason why the Yanks can't make it to the divisional round again this year. Gs has picked the Sox to win the division for about 13 straight years. It hasnt happened yet. I dont see it happening this year, either.

Mavrik
This is probably the first time in 7 years ESPN people aren't predicting the Yankees to win the WS and now all Yankee fans are freaking out about it. Relax, people. I don't think Gammons or any of those people over at ESPN have predicted any of the outcomes of the last 7 years.

green_blood
the yankees are owned by an old man with alzheimer's.my aunt works as a receptionist there and she said that he comes in to work at 10:30 some days and will leave at 11:00 or not come to work at all. he also hid in his bathroom for five hours one day. don't shoot the messenger boy, but i'm only relaying what my aunt told me. if a-rod wasn't playing baseball, he would be in a mental hospital(along with pedro martinez) and the yankees brought back a has been and are almost to the point of dependence on wheteher a certain pitcher will come back or not in july. hey, at least the yanks have some young talent that steinbrenner didn't have traded away before his brain turned to cottage cheese. Bugg
SO Steinbrenner's an old guy means what exactly? What I don't like about the Yankees-in a word, Torre. This year is another in a holding pattern, pining away for the late 1990s. And I don't think it's gonna work, unless Hughes is a major contributor and ths bullpen isn't run itno the ground-again. Ask Ron Villone, used up like tissues in a room full of sick kids, how he treats his bullpen. Or Paul Quantrill. Or Kyle Farsnworth. Or any of a dozen or so more guys he's burned through. It looks like Brian Bruney is showing the effects of overuse after barely a half season. Have Jose Contreras, or Jeff Weaver, or Javier Vasquez, or Ted Lilly, or the platoon of young starters Torre couldn't figure out, tell Philip Hughes the silliness of "strikeouts are bad!" thought process of Joe Torre. Sombody explain to me why gorwn men like Jeter, A-Rod and Torre have allowed this 6th grade schoolboy nonsense to continue to fester. If they really dislike A-rod, they should've dumped him. If they were going to bring back Torre and A-rod, this should have been settled. If not, Girardi or Piniella should have been brought it to clean up the mess. I don't know how they can bring back as strategy-challenged a manager as Torre if he cannot deal with this ego nonsense. it' supposedly his great strength, and yet this is again awaitinga few pointless headlines. I want to see this team win. But I see a team that like years past doesn't have lights out rotation, and can be stopped if they face a great rotation.I agwa is giving up alomost a walk an inning in Floria before fsacing real MLB lineups; that's not good. It looks like a great lineup with a great bullpen. But once the relievers get burned out with Torre's quick hook, it may not matter. This team has to get off to a great start. If not, watch the Mattingly/Girardi rumors fly.
