Looks likd a damn good time. http://www.craigynoscastle.com/ That looks pretty good AF. I am thinking of going to Scotland this summer and actually printed out some info on a couple of castles there (Inverlochy and Castle Stuart). Let me know how it works out. Enjoy! Are you going to be up during the Edinburgh festival? I've been up once since getting to the UK but DEFINITELY going again in August for the Tattoo Festival (military festival with bagpipers galore at Edinburgh Castle) and I believe the Edinbrgh Festival overlaps it which is supposedly a city-wide festival with shows, entertainment, and stand up comedians just performing out in the open. I can't wait to get up there for that.
joewilly
I've never overnighted in a castle but have visited many in the uk. some of them are really cool. I've only been to 1 where some fools over commercialised it whiched sucked. I can only think some american firm got the rights to this particular castle & tried to turn it into ancient disney. my apologies if the above statement was too political

I have a bunch of relatives in Edinburgh, but my family is not too enthusiastic about staying with them (neither am I)
CrazyCarl40
One night I spent at Max's house. He said he was the king of his castle. So I guess that kind of counts. Except he was the catcher that night. So maybe I was king.
joewilly
I've visited several since getting here myself...got any favorites JoeWilly? I'll ask the mrs tonight as I can't even remember names of the area's i've been to. 3 of the really good ones are between wrotham & london area. the commercialised one was on the north side of london. in the norfolk area I visited the queens residence. one of the few if not the only residence they actually own outright. It is an amazing place with sprawling gardens like you wouldn't believe. If you're into the pomp & circumstance of what england is about like I do, it's definetly worth a visit. My favorite city in england is the town of York which is quite a ways north gettin near scotland actually. i've only been to scotland once & it was pretty much a golf trip. I really do like visiting the uk

I've been there and it's awesome. It's where they do the ceremony for knighting people among other things. Warwick is GREAT but a bit commercialized. Keep traveling man...personally I can't get enough of it and I love to see others take advantage of any opportunity they get.

I loved the cobblestone walkways & old shops. warwick rings a bell, is it in the norfolk area? it's the property she actually owns & its not a castle persay. I guess it could be construed as commercialised. I think there was a museum of sorts in the garage area. tools in one room & several vintage cars in the other part I think. crap my memory sucks these days. if I remember,i'll ask the mrs tonight haha. she grew up in hull. Lil Bit Special
Paging Johnny Greenballs-I need an attorney for copyright infringement (see my last post above) Guess I shouldnt wait an hour to post my replies.... I apologize I plagarized your thoughts and expressions even though I added my life experience... It was dumb and uncalled for. Im sorry if I offended you, and others who thought about replying with White Castle but then read your post. All I try to do is add a little humor but obviously I failed in that attempt. For that Im sorry. I hope we can move past this and not dwell on my idea stealing... Maybe one day we can break bread at a local White Castle and share a sack together.... uhhh... sack of burgers that is....
