raiders sign cooper carlisle

Hey Rizzock, the Raiders zone block? How long has this been going on? I haven't paid much attention to the Raiders because frankly they've sucked lately and I had people at the house when the played the Jets. Only thing I know is their offense has been terrible and I saw a Porter interview where he claimed that Gallery was good, but had 5 different coaches telling him 5 different ways to block. This is the 2nd Denver guy they've signed.

It is a pivotal offseason for Cooper Carlisle, as the seven-year veteran finds himself at perhaps the most crucial juncture of his career.

Carlisle heads into this offseason coming off a his second full season as a starter at right guard; he assumed the duties in December 2004 and hasn’t surrendered them since, helping the Broncos have the league’s second-best running game in his 36 consecutive regular-season starts, with an average of 150.6 yards per game since Carlisle took over for Dan Neil in Week 14 of the 2004 season. (It must also be noted, however, that the Broncos averaged 150.7 rushing yards per game in the previous 36 games before the Carlisle-for-Neil shift, which was good for first in the league in that time span.)

Carlisle was last an unrestricted free agent in 2005, following his four starts in December 2004 and his playoff start at Indianapolis the following January. He then opted to remain with Denver, which capped a strange two-day period in which the Baltimore Ravens sent out an announcement that they had agreed to terms with the former University of Florida lineman. “Agreed to terms,” however, doesn’t mean “signed,” and three days later, he placed his John Han**** on a contract with the Broncos.

KING HENRY VIII of England and Ireland, the third child and second son of Henry VII and Elizabeth of York, was born on the 28th of June 1491 and, like all the Tudor monarchs except Henry VII, at Greenwich Palace.

He was the first English monarch to be educated under the influence of the Renaissance, and his tutors included the poet Skelton; he became an accomplished scholar, linguist, musician and athlete, and when by the death of his brother Arthur in 1502 and of his father on the 22nd of April 1509 Henry VIII succeeded to the throne, his accession was hailed with universal acclamation.

He had been betrothed to his brother's widow Catherine of Aragon, and in spite of the protest which he had been made to register against the marriage, and of the doubts expressed by Pope Julius II and Archbishop Warham as to its validity, it was completed in the first few months of his reign

The young king himself at first took little interest in politics, and for two years affairs were managed by the pacific Richard Foxe and Warham. Then Cardinal Wolsey became supreme, while Henry was immersed in the pursuit of sport and other amusements.

King Henry VIII, Tudor monarch, ruler of England in sixteenth-century Renaissance England, had six wives. The fates of the wives can be remembered as "Divorced, beheaded, died; divorced, beheaded, survived."

Sounds like he would fit perfectly on the Raiders.... although Roger Goodell would probably suspend him for "the beheadings" Wonder how many of those you can get away with before getting suspended for a year...

The raiders used the ZBS from 99-02 when they were good then scrapped it when gruden was gone. Were going to be using the ZBS once again. Yes thats true about gallery we had the worst coaching staff ever last season.

I once watched a special on that, guys like R. Jeremy and the other big timers being interviewed and talking about how crazy difficult it is to do with so many lights/cameras/people around. It was actually a pretty good movie, they also mentioned how men's porno careers last much longer than women's because the men's faces are rarely shown, basically you just need to be able to rock out with your **** out and you can have quite a lengthy career.

We should just ask our resident expert for some analysis into this subject, maybe he needs some guinea pigs for a study of some sort.:)
