HGTV Dream Home -The Shore at Islamorada

The next home will be in the Florida Keys. Awesome! Sand, sun, surf, sunsets.... what else can you ask for.

Strung like a coral necklace from the tip of Florida to Key West, the Florida Keys lie bathed in perpetual sunshine, sandwiched between the Atlantic Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico.

On the upper end of the vast expanse of sky and water lies Islamorada, an idyllic group of islets known as the "Sportfishing Capital of the World."

Is the game in Key West?

Don't listen to him, SoFla...He's a big c*** tease. He'll cancel the trip December 1st.

The game is in Miami and when it's over you can take your wife down to the keys for the rest of the week. Don't be a loser.

I might not come back....

The Keys in December? Sounds pretty good to me!

When the next hurricane comes that way, I hope they post the aftermath pics as well. The keys are overrated...

I'm with ya on that. I've seen the keys immediately after devastation from a hurricane. No thanks.

If I won that house, I'd sell it.

I'd take my chances. Sick of the Northeast cold and temperment. Dog-eat-dog, everyone is in a hurry and crazy-liberal politics. Yuck.

But you LOVE shoveling snow! :P

Yes, I love snow and cold like I love the NY Jets. ;)

One one these days I'm 'gonna just stop biatching about the winter and just leave it altogther. "One of these days, Alice!"

Ive been to Key West - quite the party town. Ismor-whatever is mid-keys, right? Anyway, yes, Assmop, the sunset was amazing there. And, I beleive Verde just called you queer. :)

Correct. Islamorada is also the self-proclaimed "Sport Fishing Capitol of the World." I've never been, but I plan on taking my son for a long weekend there in a few years.

AAaaahhhh Just got back last Night from Marathon, I was at the camp ground Bahia

Honda, awesome place,Awesome View of the old 7 mile bridge that Flagler built. My tent was facing the water

which was about ten feet away so when I fell asleep all I could hear were the waves crashing down ,it put me right

to sleep ahhhh how nice.I can't even explain the View of the water ,it almost looks like a million diamonds

sparkling on top of the water,The Fishing is great ,Snokling is even Better.I try to go at least twice a

month since I live so close and it is worth it,To get away from all the crap that a person

has to deal with during the week some times you need a little R&R and believe me

this is the place for that.Everyone on this Island is laid back and you can tell you are in a

place that no one is in a hurry or rushing to get something done, it really is Paradise. But

now I am at work and back to reality, and yes it sucks but I have to make a living some

how right ?? LOL

P.s. hey LMS ,I will be thinking of you next time I'm there ok ;)

Crazy liberal politics? Sometimes I can't tell if you're joking or not in these threads...if you really don't want liberal politics, you won't like the keys. This is a place that every so often wants to break off from Florida and start it's own little country.

I have the same thing. I still wouldnt mind an UPGRADE though

"upgrade" is a matter of opinion...if I thought the keys were better, I would be living down there...it's overrated as I've said before. The fishing is great...other than that, you can have it.
