Clemens who has been awful?.....Most feel the problem is age of our staff......the pen?....Gagne, Linebrink?....Who? It's easy to try and ID a goat because it makes us feel better as fans but unless you have actual names that would have been the solution, I don't think you can blame Omar. Really? The Yankees resurgence coincided with the team (besides A-Rod) beginning to hit. In fact, IIRC, Rocket joined the team when they were approximately 9 games out. A 4.18 era in the AL is not that bad, and Rocket brought an intensity to this team that it was missing. It was a very good move that you cant second guess at all. This all made that 14 game lead go away . No objective beanfart fan can possibly tell me that they are feeling confident about their team going into the playoffs. To me, most of the players aren't worth what they are making. That said, he was cheaper than Roger, even if you include the posting fee.
