drago
Going into the 2007 season there is obviously a lot of talk of KC, or CP. Who would you rather have at QB for THIS Jets team. Chad Kellen Favre (knowing that he has one, maybe two years in him) T. Green Hasselbeck I am curious to know what you all think because each QB has at least one major drawback. My vote goes with Favre, as long as there is a servicable young QB to take over after two years.
The Troll
What is Hasselbeck's major drawback? That he gets struck by lightning too much?
drago
What is Hasselbeck's major drawback? That he gets struck by lightning too much? He alwas struck me as a guy that doesn't make a ton of plays. He just doesn't make many mistakes, and has always had the benefit of a top 3 RB, and the best LT (and LG for a while there) in the NFL. If you put him on the Jets i don't think he would be nearly as effective.
NJ
Chad until KC is ready for the test in the coaching staff's mind. If KC isn't the answer long term, batten down the hatches for the rest of the decade because Chad isn't either.

ECURB
I would take Chad Kellen - just not as good yet Favre - Gunslinger with no more aim... INT machine... T. Green - Still seeing stars... Hasselbeck - over rated

BTW, I would take a young favre over all of them.

Well a young favre would be insane. I realize he throws picks, but the man throws so many TD's. We argue about Favre a lot in wisconsin, i'll pose it to you guys. When he throws his picks it is almost always when he is trying to bring them back from an insurmontable lead, so he'll try to squeeze it in there play after play. In those types of games he'll rack up 3, 4 even 5 picks. To me that is more than fine, he trying to win the game at all costs, he is not a stat watch (which is admirable in his situation). So many teams will just try to keep it close, TMQ always writes about it in his column that coaches will go for field goals when they still have a small chance of coming back. or they will punt on their own 40 with 5 minutes left down by 10. Back to the topic. If the game is close his ratio is usually 3-1, or 2-0, which is obviously good. I get sick of all the "anit-packer" fans out here that say he throws too many picks all the time. One glance at his career stats would disprove it anyway.

It's not about stats or anything else, it's about winning at all costs and I always admired that. Not to mention his amazing durability over the years. Unfourtunately though, he's way past his prime and he should probably hang 'em up. But then again,he might have been doing better these last few years with a better supporting cast.
