How anybody can root for this guy is beyond me. Yeah, here's to hoping the poor bastard who had somebody from his posse shoot and paralyze an innocent man after smashing a strippers face in to a stage turns around and has a great life. I hope the next letter this guy writes is from a prison in Nevada.

Where did it say that he had anyone shoot anybody? He made some stupid choices and got in some situations that a person in his postion shouldn't be in but I'm not going to pin the actions of his bodyguard on him unless some evidence comes out saying that he made the guy pull the trigger.

Yeah we shouldnt rush to judge him, yet. He has been given his second chance... let him have it... if he blows it again... everyone feel free to bash him...

I think he is employing the same lawyer that Ray 'not my knife' Lewis used.

I definately think he deserves the one year suspension but the fact that he is using that time off to go back to school is a positive step. There might still be hope for him.

Maybe i'm being a bastard for saying it but...

Even if it was his idea to write that letter, there is no way he personally wrote the letter. I think it had much more to do with the lawyers advising him to do so. Furthmore, I don't believe he deserves a second chance, I couldn't possibly care less that he screwed up his shot in the NFL. I was never drafted by the NFL, let alone 3 overall (3 right?) and i think i'll be okay long run...he can do the same thing after the NFL. Good luck to him, but I don't care if it goes well or if it goes bad.

I saw a special on him where they showed the good things he did in his area... I think he is the classic case of too much money too quickly.... got caught up in the wrong lifestyle... this could be a wakeup call that saves his life and his career... lets hope it does... I hate to see anybody throw their life away...

yeah, you guys are right. I mean, clearly the guy has taken a huge step in the right direction by having his lawyers write a letter for him. Funny how this apology was nowhere to be seen before the guy was suspended. I'm amazed sometimes at how easily people are swayed by stuff like this.

I felt this way before the letter... the man was givin his second chance... everyone deserves one... let him have it... if he blows it... then jump all over him

I'm totally in your camp on this although I hope were both wrong.

I'm sorry but it also crossed my mind that he took out a page add so he wouldn't have to say the words.

His lawyer would say them while peanut butter would have been put on the roof of Pacmans mouth so he'd look like he's saying the words.

Mr Ed in the modern time.

Aren't we on chance 4 right now? some of them weren't that sevre of offenses, and i can't research the matter at work, but it seemed he was in trouble his first year, and then a couple more times this year.

I wouldn't feel one ounce of sadness for him losing his 'right' to play in the NFL. Like someone said, Wendy's is probably hiring in his area.

What has he actually been found guilty of in court? I dont think it has been anything.... so I think this is his second chance to change who he hangs out with...

There is no doubt he has been a punk scumbag lately... but that can be changed very easy if your not a bad person at heart...

The guy has had almost a dozen incidents that required police involvement just since getting drafted. Luckily for him he benefits from living in a society that is obsessed with forgiveness because it makes people feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

He'll never park cars for a living.

He'll be embraced by certain aspects of the community as a victim of society.

Poor Pacman,If only he got the love he needed as a child(dr phil sucks):P

Wow, I'm shocked. I hope he wanted to do this and was not told by his lawyers to do it. I really hope he can come around and make a positive difference in someone's life.

I would think it was prompted by the spin doctors. That being said; I've heard that he's really not that bad a person but he's been hangin with the wrong homies and letting them influence him too much. Like we say back home "garbage attracts flys" . Hopefully this suspension will be a wake up call for him. It'd better be.

When the poor guy his good posse member walks again, or when he testifies against his gun-toting pal-makes things righ as they can be-then may be. But let's be real-sorry doesn't fix those things.

To hell with football players at WVU-what about that guy's family?

His lawyer must be a good writer.

HAH, precisely. "Walk this way!" "No, this way!" For all you 'Young Frankenstein' fans, the analogy is clear. OK, I'm coming off the worst migraine in recent memory, but it makes sense to me in my woozy haze just the same. Abby Normal.
